Seline managed to go through another day of classes without having to get into the skin of those who hated her. That being said, it didn't mean she wasn't going to be followed home while she rode her bike. Even with earbuds on she can hear the fast approaching of the truck, filled with loud boys behind her. She started praying that these boys don't get down from the truck and attack her.
The red truck gets onto her level and the "main boy" driving the car starts whistling at her. The boys laughed, trying to get her attention. She peeked at who they were, and she recognized immediately, it was the basketball team.
'Gods if you're trying to kill me, please don't do it this way.' Seline thought to herself trying to pedal faster. "Hey! Don't run away, we just want to have fun!" The main boy yelled at her.
Seline noticed the narrow alleyway that led to her neighborhood and made a sharp turn to it. The voices faded behind her but it didn't make her feel any better. She exited the alley, she looked around if there were any traces of the truck. She sighed much to her relief. She spotted another truck, but this one she felt safe-it was her mother's truck.
The white vehicle stopped, "Get in quickly!" Her mother yells. Seline got off her bike, threw it at the back, and hopped in the passenger seat beside her mother, putting on her seat belt. "Hey." She greeted her mother, "I saw those boys." Her mother said while driving, "I'm fine Mom, don't worry." Seline reassured her mother. "Yes, well, I'm glad you got away. Now I have a reason to let you use your motorcycle." Her mother heaved a sigh.
This gladdened her heart. She was happy to use the motorcycle, it felt freeing. Sometimes she imagined her and her friend on her motorcycle just riding around town or out and about. "Is Jessica back at school?" Asked her mother again. "Ah, no, she's still on that cruise with her parents. Surprised she agreed to even go honestly." Seline shrugged.
"Not the cruise party kind of gal?" Her mom asked with a smile. Shaking her head, Seline pursed her lips a bit, "Nah-unless there was some kind of robotics program or something that piqued her interest. She's never the type to associate with the rich like that. But even if she was forced-she'd invite me!"
Her mother nodded in agreement, "Still can't believe she invited you to a cruise event one time just because she couldn't stand other rich people. I mean if I was there I'd try to associate myself with a lot of those people." Seline scoffed at her mother's comment, knowing her friend Jessica wasn't the type to act fancy. Jessica's parents would sometimes refer to her as a "wild child" for being different and unique.
Seline simply replied, "She likes other things, Mom." And a smile on her face. She could recall the childish pranks they did. Seline never felt freedom until she met her best friend.
There was a time when they were younger, and Jessica would take her to the woods for some fun. It confused her but after Jessica said it was the place where she felt peaceful, younger Seline shrugged and went reluctantly only to have the best time of her life... However, their parents did need the police to get them back home.
Her mother parked in front of their house to see her father's car parked as well. Upon exiting the vehicle, Seline was met with her sister who was tired enough to be visibly dragging her feet outside just to greet her and her mom. "Mels!" Seline hugged her sister, feeling her body sag on her. "Tired?" Seline asked. Her sister, Melody, nodded and yawned. She smiled and patted her sister's back so they could go inside.

The next day was just as terrible. People looked at Seline with the nastiest looks.
She buried herself in her locker, pretending to fix the nonexistent mess. 'Ah, this makes me want to kill myself.' She thought to herself, wanting to crawl under a rock and die. She felt a sudden jolt on her shoulder, she almost jumped trying to turn to see it was her best friend, Jessica. "Jessica!" Seline furrowed her brows, slapping her friend's shoulder. Jessica laughed at her friend's expression. "Are you good?" Jessica laughed, "NO!" Seline could feel her heart pounding.
