When I got home, I did some light cleaning and mopping. Then, I decided to relax for a while. My parents returned and were pleased with the delicious food I had prepared.

"Thank you, Meliah, the meal was very tasty," my mom said.

"You're welcome."

"I'm going out with Carla tonight," I announced to my parents.

"Only with Carla?" My mom asked.

"With Carla and her friend," I clarified.

"Not Noah?"

"No, Noah's not going."

I felt relieved that I wouldn't have to deal with seeing Noah again tonight.

As the evening approached, I took my time getting ready. I wore the new Vans I had bought earlier.

Carla texted me that she would arrive soon, so I started to put on makeup and get dressed for the night out.

I decided to wear the black dress I had bought, even though it was quite revealing .

"That's how you're going out?" my dad say

"She;s looking pretty Juan, leave her alone"

I gave them a kiss and went outside to wait for Carla. When Carla arrived, she was wearing a stylish outfit, and she looked excited about the night ahead. She complimented me on my appearance, and we left my house together.

Manuel came with Kian in a Lexus.

"Girls you are looking very pretty," Manuel told us.

We went to the club "The walking".

The club was buzzing with people and the music was loud. It seemed like it was going to be a lively night.

The cars in the parking lot included Mercedes, Lexus, Mustangs, and some luxury models I couldn't even identify. It was clear that the club is a popular spot for people to gather before a night out on the town.

While I was scanning the area, I suddenly noticed a group of people standing together, thickened in conversation.

Among them was Noah, chatting away with his friends. My heart skipped a beat, and I quickly looked down, pretending not to have noticed him.

I didn't want to make eye contact or engage in any conversation.

Carla, on the other hand, didn't seem to have any reservations. She was chatting animatedly and laughing with Manuel and his friend, as if they had known each other for a long time. It was clear that she was comfortable and confident in social situations.

I continued to avoid looking in Noah's direction, but I couldn't help but wonder if he had noticed me too. Did he recognize me? Did he remember our encounter the other day?

The uncertainty was making me anxious.

I tried to focus on something else, but Noah's presence had already put me on edge.
