Entering the Fortress!

My head. When I woke up my hands were completely imprisoned in metal cuffs and I was trapped in a wheel like cage, Breezie was trapped too except she was handcuffed to the wall, a shame she was still cloaked I was hoping to see her. I moved closer to her so I could talk to her.
"Breezie...? Are you okay? What happened to your hover machine...?"
"I'm sorry. We were taken out by Eggman's forces, we were both captured, you must hate me now."
"Are you okay?! Technically we are in the right destination, but we will figure our way out, you don't deserve to be held hostage because he knows I want to fight him. I don't hate you just promise me that if I can win a deal with this man that you'll go free. I'll distract him, okay?"
"Y-You'd save me. Why would you set me free? What about you? How will you escape?"
"Of course. You saved me from an unknown land, somewhere that I couldn't use my power of speed or chaos energy to see myself through, so thank you. I may not escape. However, if all I can do is to return my island to the sky for historians to discover, I'll like to win this fight and return home with my emerald even if just to restore it. This is simply my fate. Let me try and change yours, okay?"

Just as I finished my conversation with Breezie a door flipped open and revealed a rather tall man with a very rotund stomach, giant fluffy moustache and a shining bald head. He had a very robotic smell to him which was very odd, but then again, Overlanders were odd. I was hoping he'd keep his distance from me, but he moved close and crouched down in front of me, shaking the cage and knocking me backwards causing me to roll over and face him. A chill ran down my spine, looking through his dark lenses I could see his piercing red eyes and the slight glistening from his black sclera, I was looking at the man that single handedly killed a whole race of Hedgehogs.
"Look at you little blue hedgehog, all grown up now, a young teenager! You traveled all this way to fight me? I wouldn't want to hurt you hedgehog, how about you just talk to me? I'm willing to listen after all, I'm not the mastermind behind all this, that rude, lying and hateful echidna is! Always has been... He made me crash and take everything you, play the sympathy card towards you and kill off your entire species, something about hating hedgehogs. You poor little hedgehog. The cage will open with power, can you run to give it energy?"

I didn't want to trust him but... What if he was right? What if Knuckles tricked me into this? There was a PA system ordering more robots to a town and the voice was that of Knuckles which only confirmed what that Eggman said, I got up and started running so that I could set us all free, while I ran Eggman left the room and I presumed he was looking for the switch to be let out.

I chased and chased to get to Eggman's fortress when I arrived the whole building was shaking and glowing green, he was generating power from somewhere and my guess was Soni was being forced into generating it. I had to move fast and find where she was being held, as I climbed his tower I was constantly fighting robots and everything that was being thrown at me, I eventually arrived outside of a room where a wheel was spinning rapidly with blue blur inside, chained to the wall was a hooded figure which didn't seem to be the same height as Soni. As I watched to find a way in, I was clocked upside the head and immediately K.O.ed.
When I came to, I was held in place by heavy robots with my arms cuffed behind my back, I looked up and saw Soni slowing down and forcing herself to speed up, choking on spit and tears before a gasp, she dropped. The wheel came to a halt, she bashed her face against the steel and lied there almost lifeless, I was seething mad. I heard a PA of more robots dropping at a local town which meant he was super charging robots with that Emerald power and sending them to destroy everything, Soni was unknowingly powering others down fall. 
I waited for Soni to wake up and when she did, she immediately freaked out.
"I-I can't... Huh? Knuckles? What are you doing! You betrayed me in the Jungle, got me captured and were the reason my whole family, my whole species died! Eggman told me everything! Why? Why would you hurt me like this? I-I trusted you! I opened up to you! I even started to lo- Never mind..."

Eggman was lying to her. Trying to break her down. I never abandoned her, something or someone was covering up what actually happened. 
"Soni I'd never! You are my friend and I'd never hurt a friend especially if you love me as much as I love you, the time we've spent together really made me enjoy you as a person and I never want to be without... Eggman is lying. How could I have been behind it? I was only 10 at the time too, what 10-year-old comes up with something so heinous?"
The figure against the wall started fidgeting before she finally spoke up and pulled her hood off the bed she could.
"I'm sorry... I've lied to you both. I stole Soni from the Jungle, covered all of her tracks and knocked her out to bring here, I've faked being a prisoner and kept silent about Eggman's true intentions. I admire you Soni and wish I could have gotten to know you in a better light. Eggman intends to use you to keep charging the emerald and sending robots to take over everything! He was even going to destroy the island you came from just to keep you hostage forever, Soni please don't wait for me, I'll get us all out just go free, okay? I'm just another scummy creation of the Doctor."

"A hostage...? Little miss hedgehog? Why. Thats a great idea Breezie! Maybe I should do all that! Soni is a wonderful powerhouse that I'd love to keep here, don't worry little blur, I take good care of alll my pets~!"
