Saving the South Island!

South Island: Revival

I barreled towards Soni and scooped her up out of the water, she was still breathing thank the gods, but she wasn't responding to my shaking, I touched the emerald to release my energy and restored myself to normal. The whole Island shook and slowly started to drain of the ocean water, it must be going back up, I moved us both closer to the Emerald and curled up, so we didn't take any damage. Poor Soni. She wasn't going to be able to see any of this but, she was completely burnt out from pushing herself and fighting so hard, I only wanted to let her rest. 
"Take it easy Soni... I got you. South Island will be back up and we can watch the sunset! Until then just relax and I won't let anything happen."
I watched the surroundings come back to life but then quickly die again, everything was crumbling to dust and leaving the island completely bare except buildings and the natural waters, what was happening? The buildings that were close by I had noticed a light green shimmer around them, it looked like a shield, did Soni protect all the buildings before it fully sank? She must have been preserving everyone's belongings in case she was able to come back with anyone, a shame he didn't take any prisoners and those that fought her suffered too. 

I awoke to find myself floating in a beautiful blue world, I was able to stand and walk, I kept going until I saw my parents. I had died. I ran and hugged my parents, feeling their love so tightly wrapped around me, my tears dripping down my muzzle and onto their shoulders. Looking past them was everyone I grew up with, my village, my people. They both smiled at me and gave me a necklace, the one I lost when everything sank, it was a symbol of true guardianship, something that had been passed down for generations. I was then guided along through the village and up to the shrine, they stayed behind as I walked up, as I climbed everything behind me and around disappeared, it was just me and the emerald on this shrine.
I approached only to be greeted by my ancestor, I immediately bowed in respect but was also very confused as to what was happening.
"Soni. Look how small you are~ I am your ancestor Dai. You've overcome quite a lot, haven't you? Being deceived. Losing everything and everyone. Putting the little faith you had, in a stranger so he could take you across Mobius to get your answers. The fight to save those in danger and your home. Sweet girl... You exhausted yourself and collapsed in the seawater. You aren't dead, however. That young man saved your life and returned his borrowed power back to the emerald, you know, there is something special about that boy. Soni. You have proved yourself worthy as a guardian. You have the necklace returned to you and when you wake up, your body will have the proper tribal markings of our people and your body will be reborn to continue our kind. How? That boy. You didn't realize this due to not being fully awakened to your powers and destiny, but he is your other half, your souls have bonded. With that said... There is another. I can't see everything in the future my dear, but that other person has a key role in saving the future from absolute annihilation. Do you understand everything dear?"

I froze. Knuckles was my soul bond. Was the man I was promised to never my bond? Was he reincarnated into him? I didn't want to question her, but Knuckles wasn't even the same species as I! How could we even continue my lineage! And another person? 
"It's an honor Dai. Thank you. I have indeed lost everything. I used what little powers I knew to salvage each and every house here on the island, I knew no one would be coming back but I wanted everything to be properly put at the shrines, which, since I'm not dead I'll do upon arrival. I'll have my full powers. I can talk with my parents again. I'm a bit confused on a reborn body but I have faith in you to guide me. Soul bonded with an echidna... Hm. It will take time, but I feel it will be okay between us, however, another person. Am I to bare his child to save the future? I-I don't know if I could. But. To save Mobius and my Island; I will. Thank you for this wisdom, Dai. I pray you will be with me through every step."

"Of course, my dear~ You will be able to speak with your parents and your powers will get a chance to flourish. You have fallen in love with that boy, but you are nervous to show it, take your time. I can't say. But trust your instincts with him. I must go now, and you must wake up, that boy is waiting patiently for you and to watch the sunset."

She disappeared in a bright light and when I woke up, I was in Knuckles arms, he gleefully hugged me when I woke up. His eyes sparkling the whole time. He laughed and hugged me tighter.
"Soni! Oh, my gods! I didn't think you were going to wake up! Look! Its back in the sky but everything died and disappeared into dust, I couldn't wake you up to tell you but look how amazing the view is!"
He set down on my feet and stood beside me, extremely close with his hand on my back. He was very upset that I passed out but seemed to understand that I was exhausted, he only wanted me to see the beauty around me.

Soni was awake and standing beside me, those shimmering green eyes had me falling in love with her natural beauty all over again! Plus, I was excited to watch the sunset from here, I always thought it would be breathtaking. I looked over at Soni who seemed more interested in the Emerald, she walked towards it and touched it, a strong blinding green light engulfed her. I was about to grab her, but it could be important, I stayed close and waited, the light slowly disappeared and revealed to me a brand new Soni.
Her quills had gotten much longer and extremely bouncy, her lips and eyelashes were much fuller than previously, she had tribal markings and jewelry all on her, her figure definitely plumped in all the right spots and her clothes changed to something that seemed much more cultural to her kind. She stumbled forward which prompted me to quickly catch her and hold her up, man, she was gorgeous! I scooped her up and walked towards a hill, settling her down on it first before I sat down with her. She was dazed for sure but knew what we were doing in that moment.
"Just as pretty as you Blue. So. What's in store for your next chapter?"
