Price sat at his desk, Reylyn sitting across from him on the opposite side of the desk.

"What happened kid?" Price said softly

Reylyn stayed silent, his eyes showed a clear display of him fighting himself in his head. His hands gripped at his arms tightly.
Price sighed and got up, walking around to crouch In Front of the younger soldier.

"I understand it's hard, if you would like to talk to me, you can." Price said with his signature V shaped smile.
"But first let's get you a new mask, that ones practically soakin wet kid." He said with a light laugh as he grabbed a black mask from the drawer and a roll of bandages. He handed the mask to Reylyn as he spoke.
"Tell me whatever you please, but I'm going to bandage your hand while you do so, sound alright with you?"

Reylyn nodded and switched out the masks before speaking softly.

"When I was six, our house caught fire… my brother woke up and grabbed me, my parents and older sister were not as fortunate… me and my brother wandered the streets for a few years until Miss. Morningstar found us. She brought us in and treated us as our own, she was a elderly woman and couldn't do much but she did everything she could for us. When I was in highschool and Fae had already graduated, I got a call saying she had a heart attack…she died before paramedics arrived.. we were on our own again. Luckily Faelynn had enough money to buy a house, so we did. And once I was of age we joined the academy… we where split up.. he was in the normal program while i was put into an elite program… Unit 7… I- I don't remember most of it…it's really fuzzy for some reason… A bit after I graduated from unit 7, Kate called me and we became good friends. She soon informed me my brother was alive and helped me rejoin with him again. She helped create Task Force 6, and kept us together until there wasn't anything for us, when me and Faelynn got the call for the team to get back together we came immediately… and to think…. An Elite Task Force.. failing every mission so far ... .and Faelynn paid the price for my screw up ...."
Reylyn's voice trailed off as his eyes teared up. He pushed away the tears as he tried to keep his composure.

"I know that look… let it out kid.. don't bottle it…" Price said softly and almost fatherly. As if on cue Reylyn cried, starting softly before it became full on sobs. Years of emotions were finally being released. A few hours passed and Reylyn had ended up falling asleep, tears staining his face, the mask having been discarded for the time being. His eyes were puffy from crying. Price looked at the younger soldier. He felt a need to protect the boy, like a fatherly instinct almost. After a few minutes he got a clean mask and put it on Reylyns face, picking the boy up and carrying him back to his room. Price kicked open the door gently and laid Reylyn down on the bed. He left for a moment and came back, leaving some small snacks and a thermos full of cold peach tea with a small note next to it:

For when you wake up. Take however long you need kid,
