The girl with the red scarf, willowy figure and shoulder length black hair walked up to their table and motioned for Eren to come to her. Eren smacked Jean again for good measure and then walked to her, giving her a hug before they headed outside as Jean stared, mouth agape.

"What...what the hell? Who is she?" He turned to Levi for an answer.

Levi turned his head to see the two walk out the door before glancing back at Jean to respond, "Mikasa. She's Eren's sister."

Jean gave him a confused look as Mikasa looked nothing like Eren, her being of obvious Japanese heritage and Eren being of German descent. Levi rolled his eyes at Jean before he answered the question that Jean was not verbally asking,

"Adopted."

Jean nodded and then took a sip of his drink, eyes still on the door waiting for the two of them to come back inside. Levi got up and strolled to the canteen to order a soda. The prohibition had affected a lot of people, causing a huge black market for alcohol, but Levi had been one of the few people not affected by this. He had never been one to drink profusely, of course he enjoyed a nice glass of wine on a special occasion or a glass of whiskey on a nice night out, but drinking had always been more of a social thing for him. He preferred the warmth of a nice cup of tea over alcohol, something Jean always poked at him for, but it never bothered him. He walked back to the table with his soda in hand to find Mikasa and Eren already sitting down with Mikasa's bags at her feet. Jean was obviously flirting with Mikasa who was trying to seem polite but obviously knowing that Jean was flirting and not wanting to respond to it. Eren had his arms crossed and was glaring at Jean, who did not seem to care or notice and continued his flirtation towards Eren's sister. Eren stood up and grabbed Levi who had just begun to sit down, dragging him back to the canteen where he had just came from. Levi glared at Eren but said nothing. They reached the canteen and Eren peeked back at the two sitting down then turning to face Levi who had an impatient look across his face, waiting for Eren to over react to this situation.

"You have to keep Jean away from Mikasa, he's our friend but he is not allowed to date my sister."

Levi shook his head, "I'm not going to be a babysitter Eren."

Eren quickly ordered a soda and then turned back to Levi, "I'm not asking you to babysit, more asking you to be a social hindrance to Jean."

"The whole time she's staying with us?"

Eren hesitated, "Yes."

"No."

"Look, she won't listen to me if I tell her to stay away from him. If anything she'll tell me that she is able to fend for herself and will then probably end up pursuing him! Please," Eren begged.

Levi shook his head. He didn't have time to do this, he had papers to write, work to do and most importantly he just didn't want to do it. Even though he had only seen Mikasa and never formally met her he assumed that she was right, she could fend for herself. Plus, by the look on her face he highly doubted she would pursue Jean.
