My phone rang, shattering the tense silence that had enveloped me. I grabbed it hastily, answering with trembling hands. "Tell me, did you find her?" The words escaped my lips with a fervent urgency.
"Yes, boss!" came the reassuring reply from the other end.
"Where the hell is she?" I couldn't contain the anger that surged within me, its flames threatening to consume all reason. "Just follow her without letting her know, do you understand?"
"Okay, boss!" The response was swift and obedient.
My curiosity couldn't be contained any longer. "Where did you find her?" I inquired, the question an obvious one, but one that clawed at my mind.
"Boss, she was near the station road, and she had no idea that we were following her," Jack, the voice on the other end, informed me.
"Okay, Jack, just make sure she doesn't get even a single scratch on her body. I'll be there as soon as possible." My tone was laced with both urgency and concern.
"Okay, boss." With that, he hung up, leaving me with the burden of reaching her in time.
Heaven couldn't believe that Robert hadn't come to her aid. Doubts and regrets haunted her, casting a shadow over her fragile resolve. The decision to trust Rose's words had proven to be a grave mistake, and she felt trapped with no way to turn back.
The sensation of being watched closely sent shivers down her spine. It was an upsetting feeling that refused to disband. She couldn't help but glance behind her, only to find a procession of expensive-looking cars following her closely. Fear gripped her heart, but she tried to convince herself that it was mere coincidence, that they had other business in the area.
Yet, as she continued to walk, the presence of those cars persisted, their proximity unnerving. Her anxiety escalated when a group of drunken men approached her, their intentions unclear but undoubtedly negative.
Panic surged through Heaven's veins, and she clutched her heels in hand as she broke into a sprint. The drunken men gave chase, their harsh laughter adding to her terror. Tears welled up as she ran, overwhelmed with fear and regret.
The weight of her impulsive decision bore down on her, and she questioned why she had listened to Rose's plan. Self-doubt nibbled at her, and she wondered what would become of her now. The realization that she was utterly alone and vulnerable in this dilemma left her feeling helpless.
Out of nowhere, a car pulled up in front of her, followed by others. The sudden appearance of these vehicles was unexpected, and Heaven's heart raced. One of the cars' doors opened, revealing a man, and the others followed suit, surrounding him. They all wore black suits, an imposing sight.
Desperation and fear welled up in Heaven, and she hoped that if she asked for help, they might offer it with kindness. Without overthinking, she ran toward them, seeking refuge. But her hope quickly shattered as she realized that it was too late to turn back.
Jacob Knight stood before her, an imposing figure who seemed to lay claim not only to her freedom but to her very soul. She was trapped, standing so close to him that she couldn't even see his face. Her dread intensified; she didn't want to be in his presence, but it seemed her fate had other plans.
As she gazed up at him, her mind swirled with fears of what he might do to her as revenge for her escape. She felt like a helpless prey, caught in the grasp of a relentless predator.
And then, the tears that had been threatening finally flowed freely as the overwhelming fear of the unknown consumed her. She couldn't stop crying, her sobs echoing in the night, as she questioned what Jacob might have in store for her.
Jacob observed her tears, his eyes transforming from their inhuman, fiery anger to something more complex. It was a mixture of emotions she couldn't interpret, but his gaze softened as he looked at her. For a brief moment, Heaven felt a glimmer of hope.
"Are you all right, my little love?" Jacob's voice, though still intense, carried a touch of concern. But Heaven was too overwhelmed to speak. He continued, "You are safe now." A small smile tugged at his lips as he spoke with a newfound calmness.
The emotional rollercoaster of that moment left Heaven trembling, unsure of what the future held
In that moment, Heaven stood ensnared in a whirlwind of emotions. Jacob's unexpected change in demeanor left her utterly confused. She could scarcely believe the transformation from the rage-filled, vengeful figure she had encountered earlier to the man who now regarded her with an unsettling mix of concern and something she couldn't quite place.
As Jacob pulled her closer to him, her body tensed with a strange mixture of fear and a newfound sense of security. The proximity was unnerving, and she found herself unable to meet his gaze, unable to understand his intentions fully. She had been running from him, from the impending marriage that had terrified her, and now, she was trapped in his embrace.
"Jhon!" he yelled and someone from behind stepped beside him,
"Kill them all," He ordered,
"What! No!" she yelled and grabbed his hand which was holding her, he pulled his gun out and pointed at one of them. A loud bang made her look up at him, he was looking down at his chest. Her eyes moved down to his chest and a loud gasp left her mouth as she saw blood oozing out of his chest.
"God-No!" Heaven gasped,
The drunken man fell to the ground, with blood running out of his chest. His eyes open and staring at her, she felt my heart clench inside her chest and a cry left her lips. She tried to get away from him but the grip on her hand was so tight that she couldn't.
There was a gun firing gong around, her eyes moved to the horrible scene in front of her. Jacob's men surrounded them and fired at them. Killing them all, terribly.
"Please, leave them no, Please," Heaven cried, begging him.
"Shhss," Jacob said as he had blood stains on his hands and his gun, he looked at her while cleaning his tattooed hands and the gun in his hand with a white handkerchief.
the air around them became stiff. Everyone bowed to him like he was superior. She gulped hard, and her heart raced inside her chest. His aura emitted power, dominance, and Evil. She glanced at Jacob's black eyes held no emotion and his cold expression made her more scared.
Tears continued to stream down Heaven's face, her sobs echoing in the still night air. She felt like a pawn in a game she didn't fully comprehend, and her thoughts raced with questions. What did Jacob intend to do with her now? Was her escape merely a redemption from a fate she couldn't avoid?
Jacob's hand gently brushed her cheek, wiping away her tears with an unexpected tenderness. "You are safe now, Love" he repeated like a bipolar, his voice a comforting refrain. But his words only added to her confusion. Safe with him? It seemed inconceivable given the horrors she had imagined.
Heaven's mind was a maelstrom of conflicting emotions. She had run from her wedding, fearing the man she was about to marry, and now, inexplicably, she was back in his sphere of influence.
She couldn't help but wonder about Jacob's intentions. Did he plan to take her back forcefully, to make her pay for her defiance? Or was there something more complex at play, something she couldn't fathom in her current state of vulnerability?
Fear still gripped her heart, but it was now mingled with a glimmer of hope. Jacob's demeanor had shifted, and he seemed different from the ruthless figure she had encountered earlier. But Heaven knew better than to let her guard down completely. Her fate remained uncertain, and she couldn't shake the feeling that her escape had merely plunged her into a different kind of turmoil.
As the night hung heavy with unspoken tension, Heaven braced herself for what lay ahead. The rollercoaster of emotions she had experienced had left her drained, and she couldn't help but wonder if this unexpected twist of fate would offer her any respite or only lead to more uncertainty and turmoil.
