It had been years since the walls fell. All three walls. Years ever since they had gotten freedom. Some call it that, Levi called it hell. Yes, the fire burned lighter, but he had gotten used to it. There was no use in caring about a deafened fire when you're commander of a useless regiment. All that they did was scout for plant life, animals, and perhaps human beings. Levi hated it. But it was better than fighting to stay alive every day. Anyone could go anywhere now, if you had the money.

Levi stared at the cracked window in front of him. The chair he sat in what decades old. It was the same chair He sat in. Along with Them. When would either one come back? Why did they both have to leave? Why was Levi along in this hell? There were no answers. Only the settling building around Levi mustered a reply. There really wasn't a point for Levi to live anymore. He had been 'Humanity's strongest'. Now He's just a sad excuse of a commander.

Levi buried his face into his hands, letting out a small cry.

Pathetic.

That's the only word to describe Levi. A pathetic rat. The only three word's he could think. Would Erwin think that? What about Hange? Mike? They all would. It didn't matter how much they loved him. Each one would think him in those terms one day.

"Now who on earth said I thought you're a pathetic rat? You're more of a sad weasel."

Levi whirled around in his seat, the chair squeaking loudly. His gaze fixated on the figure before him. Hange. They were standing in the middle of the room, hands on their hips. Hange Zoë, Four eyes. "Hange..?" Levi said under a shaky breath. This was impossible. They had died fighting those colossal titans. Levi had seen it with his own eyes.

Rising from his seat, Levi made his way around the desk. He was slower with caution. Hange only watch him. They giggled slightly. Levi raised and eye brow at them.

"I didn't know you were scared of ghosts," They said with a smile. "Humanity's greatest scared of a mere apparition."

It was them all right. Levi let out a heavy sigh and pushed up his glasses, then said,"This can't be possible. I'm seeing things, that's all."

"You're saying that I'm just a figment of your imagination?"

"Yes."

"Then you're imaginative? That's a first."

"Tsk. Say's four eyes."

"Hey. You're also a four eyes, four eyes."

Levi let out a small chuckle. It had been years since that happened. He then looked at Hange's face. Their face hadn't changed a bit since then. It felt nice to finally speak to them. Levi sat himself atop his desk, crossing his legs. "So..why are you here? Shouldn't you be in eternal rest?"

Hange shrugged their shoulders and said,"We had been watching and decided it was about time we visited."

"We?"

"Mike, Erwin and I."

"Wait- Erwin is here as well?"

A grin spread across Hange's face. "I knew you'd be excited to see him. He's not here currently, but will be later on," they said, taking a few staps towards Levi. Hange then placed a hand on Levi's shoulder. The touch was light and warm. "I'm grateful that Armin made you the 16th Commander. You're more than a smelly rat, remember that for me, okay?"
Levi stared at Hange and nodded. It felt odd to receive this type of advice. No one had ever just said something like that to him. Hange took their hand off of Levi's shoulder and smiled their goofy ass smile. Then they waved enthusiastically while yelling,"I'll see you later, Levi!!!"
