Maria sprinted down the hall towards the training room where Natasha was at the moment.

The hall was filled with light given the fact that it was the middle of the day and, in a strange way, the light-filled hall portrayed exactly how Maria was feeling on the inside right now.

So she needed to reach Natasha as soon as possible.

Natasha had to hear Maria's news.

Natasha on the other hand felt on the inside in the exact same way in which the training room was looking.

Dark.

But with a hint of light that allowed her to be able to train undisturbed.

Exactly how she was feeling on the inside.

She was feeling as if she was in the dark but the thought of her daughter gave her a small hope and her child was exactly that light she so desperately needed in her life.

She was violently punching the punching bag when Maria burst inside the room banging the door open.

Natasha stopped what she was doing, being taken by surprise by the sudden noise that echoed throughout the room, and looked towards the direction of the door.

Maria said nothing at first but Natasha understood everything by only looking Maria in the eyes.

And the brunette knew.

She knew that the spy had understood the news she was bringing with her.

At that moment, Natasha knew that Maria had found their child.

"Tasha..." Maria said, her voice only above a whisper

"Please tell me that what I'm thinking is true?" Replied Natasha with hope in her voice

Maria quickly nodded.

It was true.

The redhead knew it was true.

"We found her." Was all that Maria managed to say as tears threatened to fall from her eyes

Natasha's eyes filled with tears as she rushed into her girlfriend's arms, Maria catching her girlfriend as she jumped into her open arms.

Natasha wrapped her legs around the commander's waist, holding her girlfriend as close to her as she possibly could, and cried into her lover's shoulder.

She found her child.

She found her little girl that was the only thing on Natasha's mind and everything thanks to Maria who had led the search for their baby day and night without rest for the last 4 days.

"Please tell me you're not lying." Natasha cried somehow scared that this might be just one of her dreams again

"I'm not, love. I promise you, I'm not lying! We found her in one of HYDRA's bases." Maria reassured the spy

"You did it, Mia! You found her! Thank you!" Natasha pulled back from the tight hug and kissed Maria on the lips "This means everything to me."

"Now suit up!" Maria smiled widely, putting Natasha back down on her feet "You could also use a shower by the way. You're really smelly and covered in sweat." The brunette laughed "Disgusting!"

"Oh, shut up!" Natasha playfully hit Maria's arm "You still love me."

Maria shook her head with a smile on her face "You're right, I do. But, by the way, if you keep punching like that you're going to break your wrist one day and our daughter will need a healthy mama to take care of her."
