I stood up abruptly, supported by the sink. Today I felt more numb than usual but I decided to try my best to hide it from the others. With an already worried Yosano, having the other members of the agency worry about me as well would be a complete nightmare!
I dressed up quite fast and made my way to the agency. Everyone was already there and they were all giving me pitied looks. Please don't tell me...
"Good morning Atsushi. Have you eaten anything?" Asked a tall blonde man (Kunikida)
"No"
Gosh now they all knew! How could Yosano tell them?! But no I shouldn't blame her, I should blame the source of the problem, Akutagawa. If he never told Yosano what happened and just minded his own business none of these would have happened!
"Here have this!" Said a cheerful blonde kid (Our beloved Kenji❤️)
He handed me some cherries from his lunch box.
"Thanks Kenji" I gave him a small smile
I walked towards my desk and sat down throwing the cherries in the bin under it when no one was looking. I did some reports and filled some paperwork. Soon it was time to leave so I stood up and walked towards the door, opening it with a bit more force than intended.
"Goodnight! See you tomorrow" I said cheerfully and closed the door on everyone waving goodbye
I walked downstairs and was now a few meters away from the agency building. I took out my phone and looked for a specific contact. I scrolled through some when I finally saw his name "Akutagawa". (lets ignore how his name would be on the top bcz of the A😗) I needed to confront him! I sent a text telling him to meet me on the agency's roof in an hour.
I sat on a bench near the agency but far enough so I wouldn't be spotted when the others were leaving. If they knew I was bringing a criminal in they'd strangle me! I mean that wouldn't be so bad... no what am I thinking?!
Time flew by when I was on my phone because after a while a black figure walked discreetly in the building. I followed him inside walking up a couple of stairs until I was on the roof, Akutagawa standing still on the one side. I stood on the other.
(Something like this, not with this exact rooftop but u get the point)

"Are you just gonna stand there like a fool? Why'd you call me here" a serious and deep voice was heard
Without saying a word, I walked closer to Akutagawa with my head low. Once I was exactly in front of him I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. My face was filled with rage.
"Why would you tell them?!" I yelled
He was surely taken aback judging from his expression. He looked like he would kill me any second. I didn't care.
"Answer me!" I yelled once again
"Look, you're fucked up. I only told the doctor lady so she can help you get better. If you can't even appreciate that then what do you want?!" He yelled at the last part.
"What do I want?!" I repeated his words. "I want you to mind your own business! It would've been better if you never told them!"
His expression was now blank while my face was burning, this time not from rage. I felt hot tears run down my cheeks so I let go of Akutagawa. I sat down and covered my face with my hands to hide my tears despite knowing he had already seen them, I didn't want to seem vulnerable.
Unexpectedly he sat down besides me and put his hand on my back patting it slightly. Without thinking I opened up to him.
"Because of this they are never gonna treat me normally again! I will always be the "boy with a fucked up system that can't consume food"!" I said through sobs and cried harder
"They are just trying to help you..." he said reluctantly
"Sure, even if they help how will it work?! I can't fucking eat what are they supposed to do! I'm just an extra burden to them!"
"..." he stayed quiet
The moon and stars were the only things that lighted up the place along with the faded light of the street lights which made the atmosphere more relaxed and kinda romantic.
After a bit I laid down on the roof, feet dangling off the edge and soon Akutagawa followed my lead making the exact same pose besides me. We both just stared at the mesmerizing view above us. It was really rare for both of us to see the night sky from such angle.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" I said wiping my puffy and red from crying eyes.
"Indeed it is" he simply replied
After that we became more comfortable and started talking about all sorts of things! From our workplaces and colleagues to our favorite food and how we spend our time!
I had a truly great time and I'm pretty sure I caught Akutagawa smiling softly. I was the first time I saw him smile. All my bad thoughts and voices stopped to the sight of him.
Soon Akutagawa had to leave for work since he had some extra things to do and I was left there staring at the sunrise. This was a great break from my normal routine and it helped me relax even though I knew I would be looking like a walking zombie once I entered the office because of my all nighter.
