Iri's leg shook, up and down as she waited for her evaluation. The doors opened and Iri shot up, she walked into the room as Katniss walked out, she nodded her head at her and then the doors shut behind her. She turned to look at the Capitalists there, they were murmuring as Iri spoke aloud to them.
"Iri Kentwell. District 2 VICTOR and Extra Tribute." Iri spoke confidently.
Seneca, one of the Capitalists there, also the Game maker, nodded at her, signaling her to begin. Iri grabbed the daggers, three to be exact, and one by one she threw them, each one hitting the target. She turned proudly to the Capitalists but when she did her smile faded, the Capitalists didn't care, they stopped paying attention. She grew angry, she grabbed another dagger on a rack, and she saw a cooked pig and its eye. She pointed the dagger at the eye and threw it as hard as she could, it flying and hitting the eye and stopping every Capitalist in their tracks. Seneca looks at the dagger and sees Iri's reflection, turning aggressively to face her. Iri wasn't phased, she looked him dead in the eye and put three fingers on her heart, holding eye contact.
"Thank you, for your consideration," Iri said sarcastically.

"Are you out of your mind?!" Atala said, after the evaluation was done, Iri sat beside Clove and Cato in their room.
"I got mad,"
"Mad? You realize that because of your actions, it reflects badly on all of us. Not just you." Atala replied.
"You're looking way too into this, it's fine, really. They just want a good show." Enobaria added.
"How about it's just bad manner, Enobaria? How about that?" Atala asked angrily.
"Well, I for one think it was great. Nice throwing, Yellowjacket," Clove smiled.
"Thanks, Clover," Iri smiled back at her.
"Clover?" Cato asked.
"Her nickname for me is Yellowjacket, mine for her is Clover, because she's my four-leaf clover, she's my luck," Iri explained.
"What did they do when you hit the eye?" Cato asked.
"Well, they looked pretty startled," Iri answered.
"What did you say... "Thanks for..." "
"...consideration. Genius!" Clove laughed.
"Listen, I don't think we're gonna find this funny if the game makers decided to take it out-"
"On who, Atala? On her? On Clove? They already have by letting both sisters into the games together. Letting a Victor go to the games again. It can't get worse than that," Enobaria explained.
"There is one thing that they could do... kill her," Iri replied, talking about Clove.
"That's not gonna happen," Enobaria replied.
"But you don't know that! Listen, I'll do whatever it takes to make sure Clove gets out of there alive. I'll die. But you know how they are! They'll do whatever it takes to get what they want. And there's only so much one person can do," Iri explained, clearly upset.
"Even though you're just one person, you can do a lot that others can't. I've never seen anyone throw a dagger or knife or anything like that the way you do. Your power behind that blade. It's unmatchable. I can try, but I'll never be as good as you will be. I'm okay with that, but put more faith in yourself, for my sake if not your own." Clove explained, not wanting to believe what Iri was telling her. She didn't care, she'd find a way to make it out alive, with Iri.

The next day, Iri walked over to the room Katniss and Peeta were in. She knocked but no answer. She was about to knock again as Haymitch, Katniss and Peeta's mentor, answered the door.

"Iri? What the hell are you doing here?" Haymitch asked.
"Nice to see you too, Haymitch. I came to see Katniss," Iri answered as Katniss came to the door.
"I wasn't expecting to see you, after-"
"After my blowup during evaluations? That's what I came to talk to you about." Iri answered Katniss.
"O-okay, come in," Katniss said, letting her in.

Peeta walked over to the door to see Iri.

"Iri! Good to see you again! Oh, by the way, thanks for the advice during training," Peeta said.
"No problem, any time."
"We can talk in here," Katniss said, ushering Iri toward a bedroom.

Iri walked in as Katniss followed her in, shutting the door behind her.

"You're not gonna kill me, are you?" Iri asked, obviously joking.
"As long as you're not planning to kill me," Katniss smiled back.
"Look, I just wanted to apologize for what I said, to you, before your evaluation. For one, it was dumb of me to say anything when you were about to go on. And two, I shouldn't have said that. I also didn't mean it the way it came off. But either way, it's not my choice what you do with your life, in any way. I mean, I know we just met only a week ago, really, but I felt this strong connection with you since we met in that room. I just hope that I didn't ruin that by what I said,"
"It's okay, really. I know what you were trying to say."
"I just don't want to lose anyone again. The 73rd games destroyed me, inside and out. I just don't want the same to happen again. To Peeta, or Clove, or you... ever. I don't want you to experience what I had to go through,"
