Chapter 11 - A Meeting of the Past

Nabi had reached the pinnacle of her career—wealthy, successful, and undeniably attractive. Her life had taken an unexpected turn after her return to South Korea, and she had been engaged to the charismatic model and actor Lee Soo Hyuk. Although their romantic relationship hadn't worked out, they had remained close as friends with benefits, sharing a connection that extended beyond their past romance. Soo Hyuk had a unique ability to satisfy all of Nabi's desires, and their arrangement suited them both.

On this particular day, as Nabi opened her emails, she was reminded of an upcoming appointment she had been dreading. She was scheduled to meet with Choi Minho and his manager to discuss an upcoming business partnership. Nabi's annoyance was palpable because the board of her company had decided to make Minho the face of her business due to his skyrocketing popularity, largely attributed to his chiselled abs that drove female fans wild.

Despite her irritation, Nabi saw a glimmer of opportunity in this meeting—an opportunity for the long-awaited revenge she had been harbouring. It was a chance to confront Minho, the person from her past who had caused her so much pain.

Surprisingly, Nabi and Minho had not crossed paths since their middle school days. However, Key, a member of SHINee, had become a regular visitor to Nabi's office, thanks to their unexpected friendship, which remained a well-kept secret.

As Nabi prepared for the meeting, she knew it was going to be a long day. She braced herself to put on her "big girl pants" and confront her past, all while navigating the complexities of the business world and the potentially explosive partnership with Minho.

The meeting was finally underway, and Nabi stood to welcome Minho and his manager, Euisoo. As they exchanged handshakes, she offered a charming smile, all the while trying to keep her composure. Minho's gaze lingered on her a bit too long, his expression seeming to suggest that he might recognize her from somewhere. Nabi's heart pounded in her chest as she maintained her professional demeanour.

Throughout the meeting, Nabi discussed the business requirements and the terms of the contract. Minho, in turn, presented his own set of requests and preferences. After an hour of negotiations, they had reached an agreement, and a new contract was promptly typed up and signed by both parties. With the signatures, they were now legally bound by their agreement.

As the meeting drew to a close, they exchanged pleasantries, bowing respectfully. Nabi once again graced Minho with her most charming smile, a smile that had the power to melt hearts. For a fleeting moment, Minho couldn't help but wonder if she was the same girl he had once known and loved. Did she not remember him? She had grown even more beautiful over the years, with eyes that sparkled like precious gems.

Meanwhile, Nabi was silently relieved that she had chosen not to reveal her true identity during the meeting. She knew that her production team would be responsible for dealing with Minho from this point forward, sparing her the need to interact with him directly.

After the meeting, Nabi met up with Changmin to recount the encounter. She couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions—relief that her secret remained safe and curiosity about what Minho might be thinking after their unexpected reunion.
