After days of unanswered calls and messages, Nabi finally decided to replace her shattered phone. She couldn't bear the thought of being out of touch with Minho any longer. The realization that she had left him worried and anxious weighed heavily on her heart.
As she entered the bustling electronics store, the cheerful jingles of phone notifications surrounded her. Nabi couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as she browsed through the sleek devices on display. She chose a new phone, one with a clean, unbroken screen, and hastily set it up.
With her new phone in hand, Nabi's fingers moved swiftly over the touchscreen as she dialed Minho's number. Her heart raced with anticipation, and when he finally answered, his voice sounded like a soothing melody.
"Minho," she said, relief flooding her voice. "I've missed you so much."
Minho's voice held a mixture of concern and affection. "Baby, I've been worried sick. Where have you been? Are you okay?"
Nabi couldn't help but blush at the affectionate nickname he used. "I'm okay now, Minho," she replied, her voice soft. "I'm so sorry for not contacting you sooner. Let's meet up, okay? I have so much to tell you."
Minho's tone brightened with enthusiasm. "I'd love that, baby. I'll be free next week, how about we meet at our spot, the park near your place?"
With a plan in place, Nabi felt a renewed sense of hope. She hung up the phone, looking forward to their long-overdue reunion. Little did she know that her best friend, Sooya, was harboring a deep-seated anger and resentment that was about to be unleashed.
A couple of days later, as Nabi and Sooya walked together from school to a nearby store, the façade of their friendship seemed intact. Sooya wore a bright smile, her eyes hiding the simmering anger within.
Nabi, unaware of the darkness that lurked in Sooya's heart, excitedly recounted her recent catch-up with Minho. "Oh, Sooya, you won't believe how wonderful it was to hear his voice again. He called me 'baby,' and I couldn't stop blushing."
Sooya's smile remained in place, her envy growing by the second. She had never heard Minho use such an affectionate term with her, and the fact that he had reserved it for Nabi only fueled her anger.
As they neared the store, Sooya discreetly took out her phone and sent a series of text messages. Her fingers moved swiftly, orchestrating a sinister plan that would eliminate Nabi from Minho's life once and for all.
The plan was set into motion as a group of girls, led by Sooya's messages, converged on the store. They had been instructed to wait for the perfect moment and then corner Nabi, taking her to a nearby alley where they would carry out their brutal attack.
As Nabi entered the store with Sooya, she had no inkling of the impending danger. She couldn't contain her excitement about her upcoming meeting with Minho, a reunion she had longed for.
However, when they exited the store, Sooya quietly excused herself, claiming she needed to make a phone call. In reality, she was slipping away to ensure her sinister plan would unfold as intended.
Nabi, left to her own devices, soon found herself cornered by the group of girls. Panic surged through her as they dragged her into the alley, their intentions clear from the cruelty in their eyes.
What followed was a brutal assault that left Nabi battered and bloodied, barely clinging to consciousness. Six of them took turns beating her mercilessly, the rain beginning to fall as they left her lying in the alley, barely recognizable, and on the brink of death.
It was Changmin, Nabi's neighbour, who stumbled upon the horrifying scene. He rushed her to the hospital, her life hanging by a thread, the rain washing away the evidence of the brutal attack.
As Nabi's fragile body lay in the hospital bed, the truth behind the orchestrated violence remained hidden, and Minho was left in the dark, unaware of the torment that had befallen the woman he loved. The shadows of deceit and betrayal had grown deeper, and the darkness that had engulfed their lives threatened to consume them all.
