Because of COVID we all were required to take online classes. After talking to Neel almost daily, we both got very comfortable around eachother. We teased eachother, we fought but also we cared for each other. And I loved how he always respected my personal space.
He also shared that he had a girlfriend but they broke up recently. I could see in his eyes that he was really in love with her. She must be special.
But the thing is he always complained that he was the reason for their break up. He loved her so much but never talked nicely to her, that's why she left him. I could see the sincerity in his eyes. He's so lovable. How could someone leave him. I thought.
And everytime I explained to him how he's not the reason of their break-up and it just happened, and that you'll find someone better soon.
But Neel is Neel. Dramatic.
Neel and me, we both supported each other and took care of each other.
One day, our college held a seminar for freshers that we had to attend as it was important for us new students. I fought with my parents that day because of some stupid relatives. I was feeling a little low that day. I was silent all day and tried to avoid everyone . Neel asked me but I could only answer him that I was fine, I wanted to be alone for sometime. He said nothing just nodded.
After the seminar ended, we got out from the seminar hall. I told Neel that I had to leave for a bit. He nodded and told me to meet at the college ground after finishing my work. I completed my business and went straight to college rooftop and texted Neel about that. I saw that the sun was about to set as the autumn wind blew. The sun rays were not very strong, they were calm in many colours. It was really beautiful. Watching the sun set from there, it was really calming and relaxing.
Suddenly, my phone rang and I knew who it was but i didn't expected to him on the phone??
Neel: WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU? IDIOT, I HAVE BEEN WAITING HERE FOR HOURS. AT LEAST CAN YOU TELL ME THAT ARE YOU ALIVE OR NOT. ANSWER ME YOU, IDIOT. WHY ARE YOU NOT ANSWERING???
Me: Hey!hey! Neel take a breath. calm down first.
I could feel him sigh as he relaxed.
Neel: Are you okay?
He asked me in his low and calm voice.
Me: Yeah, I'm totally fine. Come here on the Rooftop.
Five seconds later he was there running and all panting. I was shocked. What is he? A Superman? I thought.
He came near me and suddenly knelt down in front of me. I could see worriedness in his eyes He took my hands gently in his own hands and asked me in a very concerned voice, 'hey are you okay? Did you hurt anywhere? Are you not feeling well? Did someone say something bad to you? Tell me what happened? Why didn't you pick my calls?'
