This is inspired by "timeless" by Taylor Swift and thanks to Phoebewritesssss for choosing this sweet song.

Down the block, there's an antique shop
And something in my head said, "Stop, " so I walked in
On the counter was a cardboard box
And the sign said, "Photos: twenty-five cents each"
Black and white, saw a '30s bride
And school lovers laughin' on the porch of their first house

I was walking down the block with my lover hand in hand, we found an antique shop and walked in. The sign on the counter said photos for 25 cents each and I remembered those old times with Kate.

Two lovers laughing on the pouch of their home together and that's the kind of love we would always cherish. The streets were crowded but we went through this before.

We are timeless, when we walked home that night I saw a note on the bed. I opened it up and saw Kate's handwriting, she was writing to me.

The kinda love that you only find once in a lifetime
The kind you don't put down
And that's when I called you and it's so hard to explain
But in those photos, I saw us instead
And, somehow, I know that you and I would've found each other
In another life, you still would've turned my head even if we'd met

She was going to work and I prayed that she was all right, I believed we would have a life to live but it did happen but in the wrong way.

She got home and we danced in the living room. We had no music, just us, and she looked like the same girl I met three years ago. "She's mine now," I thought.

On a crowded street in 1944
And you were headed off to fight in the war
You still would've been mine
We would have been timeless
I would've read your love letters every single night
And prayed to God you'd be comin' home all right
And you would've been fine
We would have been timeless
'Cause I believe that we were supposed to find this
So, even in a different life, you still would've been mine
We would've been timeless

I came across an old picture book, I immediately knew what this was, this was old pictures of our time together. I smiled so hard that I thought my face would come off.

She would always belong with me no matter what.

Kate came into the room and pulled me into a heart warming kiss. I sat her on my lap and held the back of her neck before pulling away and looking into her greenish blue eyes I always got lost in her eyes.

Time breaks down your mind and body
Don't you let it touch your soul
It was like an age-old classic
The first time that you saw me
The story started when you said, "Hello"

Her hand touched my soul and made it fly into a million pieces, I whispered in her ear:

"I love you Kate" I could feel her blushing.

"I love you too Leo" the room turned black in a second.

In a crowded room a few short years ago
And sometimes there's no proof, you just know
You're always gonna be mine
We're gonna be
I'm gonna love you when our hair is turnin' gray
We'll have a cardboard box of photos of the life we've made
And you'll say, "Oh my, we really were timeless

We laughed and laughed remembering the old times.

We really were young and reckless. Our hair was now gray but we were together.

We are timeless souls.

We're gonna be timeless, timeless
You still would've been mine
We would've been
Even if we'd met on a crowded street in 1944
You still would've been mine
We would've been
Down the block, there's an antique shop
And somethin' in my head said, "Stop, " so I walked in

Finally updated. I'm unmotivated. I really didn't know the plot for this. I did my best.
