Bacon, eggs and toast was what we had for breakfast this time, after a long fight and craziness happening these last few days, we needed this more than anything at least.

We were quiet until I decided to break the silence.

"Hey Kate" she looked up at me with a kind smile.

"Yes?" she asked.

"I love you so much," she smiled.

"Me too Leo me too"

"You know Kate this was a swell breakfast between you and me"

"Yeah it was Leo"

We put the dishes in the sink.

It was almost my time to go to work. I didn't want to leave her not now.

We made a face and I grabbed my jacket and shoes and hat, I kissed her cheek.

"Good luck today Leo"

"Thanks babe" she smiled softly, I knew something was on her pretty little mind. But I didn't know what it was.

She pulled me in a kiss before pulling back.

"Just be safe," she said to me in a whisper.

" don't worry about me, I'm gonna be safe no matter what, okay?"

"Okay"

I gave her one more big kiss on the lips.

I pulled away and walked to my car.

She was mine forever.

After work

"I'm back Kate!" I yelled.

She came running downstairs and pulled me in a bone crushing hug.

"Great to see you too," I joked.

" I love you so much Kate,"

"Me too."

I put my work stuff on the table and sat on the couch.

Kate followed after me and put her head on my shoulder.

We just sat in silence, enjoying each other's company.

She wasn't like this before she was always bubbly.  She was very pale, she was always pale but not this kind of pale.

"What's wrong Kate?" I asked.

"Leo I'm sorry" she began crying.

"It's okay baby"

"I'm pregnant, I been sure all week"

My face lit up with a smile.

"Oh my god I'm gonna be a father"

"And I'm gonna be first time mother"

She smiled.

"Now your feeling better"

She nodded and cuddled with me until we fell asleep in each other's arms.

......

We woke up and stared into each other's eyes.

We were still tired.

And we fell asleep again.

..

I can't believe that I came all this way!!
