Wilbur picked up by the 3rd ring.

"You got him in the pasture?" Was the first thing he said. I was shocked into silence from his direct question.

"Uhh...yeah, how'd you know?" I asked him angrily. Was this his plan?

Some weird, twisted plan?

"Well I figured that the stallion is quite protective over you and every good cowboy knows not to come between a stallion and whatever he's protecting. So I left to prevent any fights and I knew you'd figure a way out to get him into the pasture and clearly I was right, right?" Wilbur declared, a note of cockiness in is voice. I growled out in frustration and muttered asshole.

"What was that May?" Wilbur asked as I heard him chuckling on the other side. I sighed in irritation and shook my head in defeat.

"Just come and take him. I don't know who he belongs to and I can't take care of him." I told Wilbur as I sat on the wooden post that the pasture was made of. The horse was happily prancing around the pasture, exploring the long, lush grass and bucking every now and then.

"Macey, you know you got a pure bred Andalusian there, they don't get lost on a daily basis. He was either let loose or his rider fell and he ran off, got rid of the tack and then eventually found his way to your ranch. I can't take him in now, most of my mares are in heat and the stallions are almost tearing this place apart, adding another stallion will tip the balance on the ranch and send things into chaos. You have enough grass in those pastures to sustain him for months and I think he took quite the liking to you. Though who can blame him, every male species in this town likes you." Wilbur finished with a chuckle. I couldn't help but smile and shake my head. Oh Wild Wilbur, you never change.

"Okay, so what will I do with him, put out found fliers or what?" I asked him hopelessly. Wilbur sighed and I could hear him shaking his head.

"Yeah, and everybody will call and say "he's my horse" and you'll give him away, because you don't know better. I'll pick up the vet tomorrow and have her check if he has a chip, if he does have one we can track down his real owner, okay?" Wilbur explained slowly to me. I grumbled a yes and then said our goodbyes.

Tomorrows gonna be a long day, I could just feel it.
