Elsewhere in the Brix districtThe room was filled with tense silence as the group of important and dangerous people discussed the current political climate in Cinnabar City. Aiden and Omar, both members of the magical human community, were growing increasingly worried about the prospects of Atlas Spark being elected as Bishop.
"A lot of his policies seem to be aimed at restricting the freedoms of people who use magic," Aiden pointed out, his voice worried. "That's not fair to those of us who have magical abilities."
Omar nodded in agreement. "We've seen what happens when people have too much power. It never ends well."
But Elliot, the current commander of the Knights Authority, and Isabella, who was in charge of the borders between districts, both agreed with Atlas Spark. They felt that the recent rise in magical human individuals using their powers had led to an increase in crime and instability within the city.
"We need to regulate the use of magic," Atlas Spark spoke up firmly. "It's too dangerous to let people use it freely. Even if it comes at a cost."
"I agree and fully support Atlas, magical humans have run amok in Northern dragoon for far too long," spoke an elderly woman wearing a glass mask.
Aiden and Omar exchanged worried glances, sensing that their concerns were falling on deaf ears. They knew that they would have to find a way to make their voices heard and push back against the proposed regulations if they wanted to protect their own freedoms.
The conversation continued on late into the night, as the group debated and discussed the future of their city. But for Aiden and Omar, there was a growing sense of unease in the air, as they realised the potential stakes of the upcoming election.
Cinebar City Staw district
Romeo stood at the outdoor food vendor, enjoying the sights and sounds of the bustling morning market. The savory scents of sizzling bacon and frying eggs wafted through the air, making his stomach growl with hunger.
As he waited for his order, he gazed out into the distance, taking in the beautiful view of the city's skyline. Suddenly, he felt a tug on his sleeve and turned to see a young woman with dark skin and bright pink hair standing beside him. She smiled sweetly and asked for some spare change.
Romeo reached into his pocket to give her some coins, but before he could, the girl snatched his breakfast sandwich from his plate and darted away. Romeo was taken aback and immediately gave chase. He sprinted through the busy market, weaving in and out of the crowds, determined to catch the brazen thief.
As he turned a corner, he saw the girl disappear into a narrow alleyway. Romeo hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to follow her, but his hunger and curiosity got the better of him. He cautiously made his way down the dimly lit alley, careful not to trip over any loose cobblestones.
Eventually, he spotted the girl sitting on a crate, a homeless woman next to her munching on his stolen sandwich. She looked up and grinned mischievously as Romeo approached, but he wasn't angry. In fact, he was intrigued by the girl's audacity and spunk.
"Hey, it's not right to steal somebody's sandwich, but I do have to give you credit for your tenacity," he said, flashing her a smile. "You're pretty quick on your feet."
The girl shrugged and offered him a piece of his sandwich. "Sorry for taking your food. She was just really hungry. oh! You can sit with us!"
Romeo accepted the offer and sat down next to her, in the dimly lit alleyway, still a little bewildered by the girl who had stolen his sandwich. She sat beside him now, watching a lady munching on the last few bites of the stolen food. He had learned that her name was Rose and that she was a bright and bubbly character, despite her thieving ways.
