Romeo and Sonny strolled down the bustling streets of the Brix district, heading towards the Town square. The sun was shining down and a warm breeze brushed against their skin. They laughed and chatted as they walked, enjoying each other's company.
As they arrived at the square, they noticed a small ice cream stand serving all kinds of flavors. Romeo was excited to show Sonny this delicious treat, as he himself had many fond memories of enjoying ice cream with his family back then.
"Hey Sonny, why don't we grab some ice cream?" Romeo suggested, pointing towards the stand.
"Sure! I've never had ice cream before though. What flavor should I get?" Sonny replied, feeling curious yet uncertain.
Romeo smiled, knowing that he had the perfect solution. "Why don't we each get a different flavor and share with each other? That way, you can try two different ones!"
Sonny nodded, impressed with Romeo's idea. They approached the stand and perused the flavors before making their choices. Romeo got his all-time favorite, mint chocolate chip, while Sonny went for strawberry.
They sat down on a nearby bench, enjoying their sweet delights. Romeo savored the cool mint and chocolate chips melting in his mouth, while Sonny experienced the sweet, tangy taste of the strawberry.
After finishing their cones, they sat for a few moments longer, basking in the sun and watching the people pass by. Romeo checked his watch and realized he needed to head towards his parents' house soon.
As they walked towards Romeo's house, Sonny couldn't help but feel curious about Romeo's parents. "Hey Romeo, can you tell me more about your parents?” he asked cautiously, feeling slightly hesitant.
Romeo smiled warmly at Sonny, sensing his friend's curiousity. “Sure! My parents are amazing. I was actually quite lucky to be raised by them.” He replied.
“Your two dads, right?” Sonny asked, recalling how he had heard Romeo mention them in the past.
“Yep, exactly!” Romeo nodded, as Sonny listened eagerly. “My father, Omar, is a bit more reserved and serious. He teaches water magic in Brimstone Academy, and he takes his job very seriously. He's pretty strict but he's always been there for me when I needed him.”
“And my other father, Aiden, is totally the opposite. He's a freelance writer, so he has a much more relaxed schedule. He's pretty goofy and loves to make jokes. He's always been the one to make me laugh and bring some humor to our family.”
Sonny nodded in understanding, taking in what his friend had just shared. “It sounds like you have a really awesome family, Romeo. Do they know about us hanging out and the guild stuff?”
Romeo nodded, feeling pleased that things were going smoothly. “Of course not, they know nothing. That's actually why I'm bringing you along, I have no idea how they're going to react and I feel like having someone like you around would make things easier.”
“I hope they don't have a bad reaction, I'm sure they'll accept what you do no matter what, as long as you're happy.” Sonny replied, feeling grateful for Romeo's accepting family.
With that comforting thought, the pair continued to walk towards Romeo's house, knowing that they had each other's back.
After walking for a few more minutes, Romeo and Sonny finally arrived at his parent's house. Excitement befell Sonny as he felt thrilled at the prospect of meeting one of Romeo's fathers.
As they approached the front door, Romeo was delighted when his father, Aiden, answered the door with a bright smile spread across his face.
"Hey there Roro, come give your old man a hug," Aiden said, opening his arms to welcome his son.
