Star stepped forward, her hands glowing. "Sparkle, lightning blast!" The workers moved away from Star's attack. "Give me my mom."

"Stop, stop, stop! Knock it off!" The auctioneer walked out, an annoyed look on his face.

"What? What are you doing here?"

"Granting you my royal audience. After all, I'm the Pie King!" The Pie King took off his hat, revealing a smaller, golden hat under it.

"Pie King? How many disguises do you have?"

"That doesn't matter right now. What does matter is the Sky Baker is free to go whenever and wherever she likes."

"What? Sky Baker?" Star narrowed her eyes as the Pie King shrugged.

"Yeah, she fell to us from the sky!"

"She's not the Sky Baker. She's my mom!" Star took a breath, walking up to Moon. "You're my mom, and I'm the princess. Well, I was the queen, too. But anyway, look, you need to come back with us to our home."

Moon gasped, looking down as the information overwhelmed her. "Goodness."

The Pie King rolled his eyes, tapping his fingers together. "Well, that sounds lovely. But that's not the full story, is it?"

Star glared at the Pie King. "What?"

The Pie King grinned as the ground rumbled. "Behold!" He flipped backwards, landing on the pie. "The pie of truth! The pie of truth reveals everything. Long ago, a pie folk girl travelled to the mainland with a pie carnival and was accidentally left behind. She was taken by the King of Mewni and raised by the Magical High Commission. No one knew that she was not of royal blood. Her name was Festivia. And she became the queen of Mewni. So that means your great, great, great-great, et cetera granny was pie folk. And if SKy Baker is your mama, then you're pie folk too."

River screamed in horror. "No! My Moon is not some dirt pie-monger! I won't allow it! No!" River screamed again as he was dragged away.

Star shook her head. "No, you're a liar. You're literally the King of liars! There is no way we're pie folk."

The Pie King chuckled, playing with his moustache. "Oh, you think it's a coincidence that your mother just happened to end up here on Pie Island?"

"I don't know why she ended up here, but Mom, this isn't your home. Don't you remember anything besides this place?"

Moon grew nervous, avoiding Star's eyes. "I don't. I know how to make pies."

"And what delicious pies they are!" The Pie King smirked, kicking his legs below him. "Thanks to you, we finally have a pie that we can be proud of."

Moon smiled, her eyes widening. "You like my pies?"

"I do like your pies. And if you don't mind, could you get back to the oven and bake some more? We're way behind schedule."

"I'm going to go make pies now."

River screamed as Moon walked to the oven.

"I do hope you find your mother."

The Pie King cheered as production started up again.

"Maybe this is where she belongs." Star sighed, listening to Moon humming. Moc paused before pushing Star towards her mother. Star took a breath as she began to sing. "Over, under, around and through. Grab the little Mewni rabbit and pull him through."

Moon startled, dropping her pies as she turned to Star nervously. "Pinch it and fold it and tie it in a bow."

Star smiled excitedly as they sang together. "Like two little bunny ears made out of dough. Over and under wherever you roam. Sweet little Mewni rabbit, hop back home."

Moon blinked, her eyes filling with tears. "I remember this song. I don't remember anything, but I remember this song."

Before Star could respond, the Pie King popped between them, punching the pie high. "Wow! Beautiful voices. Now scoot! Sky Baker has pies to make."

Moon frowned. "I thought I was free to choose."

"Yes, and you chose to stay here and make pies for us. By the way, they're delicious pies. They're selling like crazy at the pie carnival."

"No, I think I changed my mind. I'd like to go and sing songs with that girl." Moon ran off as Star smiled brighter.

Janna cheered as they ran away. The pie folk charged to stop them as Moc grinned. "Let's do this, Bones."

The hellhound roared, swatting away the pie folk. Star turned, blasting the bridge as one pie folk fell over, the rest of the pie folk running over him.

The group skidded to a halt as they came to a ledge.

"You can't run anymore, kid!" The pie folk glared as Star raised her hand.

"Shooting star explosion!"

The pie folk avoided Star's attack as the Pie King prepared his pie of death. "Ready for your last meal?" The King paused, watching a chicken as it failed about in from of him. He screamed as he was hit to the floor.

Fool Duke laughed, raising her hands. "I committed treason against my homeland!" She stayed in the hot air balloon as the others clambered in.

Star sighed as they finally got away. "So, Mom, are you okay? I mean, you've been through kind of a lot."

Moon nodded, a smile crossing her face. "I'm fine. You know, it's funny. I have no idea what will happen, but I have this feeling that no matter what, it's going to be okay because I'm meant to be here with you." Moon chuckled as her family hugged her.

"Well, this has been fun." Moc grinned as she petted Bones's chin. "But I need to get home." She grinned, slicing open a portal and stepping through.

Star blinked. "Was I the only one who forgot we could use the scissors to escape?"

Marco sighed as he fell onto his bed.

"And here I thought my day was bad." Solar chuckled as Marco smiled.

"Any luck finding Star's mum?"

Solar nodded. "Star thinks her mom is making pies. Moc and Janna are going with her to some pie island to look. How's Tom?"

"He's..." Marco hesitated, looking at Solar as he smiled. "He's fine. Marshmallow ran away. He was super worried, but I helped find him."

Solar grinned. "That's great." Solar wrapped his arms around Marco's shoulders as he leaned closer.

"You're adorable, Sunshine."

Solar blushed as Marco laughed more. Marco groaned as the doorbell echoed. He huffed, climbing off his bell and walking to the front. Moc stood outside, fighting with some monster dog for a steak. "Marco! Can we keep her?!"
