Poetry is addictive, as we read or try to write.
Wielding each word mindfully, as needed, right!●
Sometimes, it makes sense. Sometimes, it does not.
Sometimes, it shows the thought that it was not.●
Sometimes, a happy pill or the words that kill.
Sometimes, a lost mind climbing up the hill.●
Sometimes, it's a mirror to our inner self.
Sometimes, an old memory, in a hidden shelf.●
Sometimes weaving our unnecessary thoughts into a tapestry.
Sometimes, breaking our beliefs, unhiding the mystery.●
Sometimes, a solace to a wounded heart.
Sometimes, an appreciation of one's own art.●
Sometimes darker, but our mind liberates.
Sometimes brighter, as our soul immigrates.●
Sometimes, wrecking our nerves and blinding our eyes.
Sometimes answering our what, when, where, and why's.●
Sometimes written and kept for oneself forever.
Sometimes, others comment that we endeavor.●
Sometimes an ode to a distant loved one.
Sometimes, reminding a job that is undone.●
Sometimes, admiring the nature and beauty around.
Sometimes, fighting away the darkness that surrounds.●
Sometimes wise words from skillful experts.
Sometimes following a dream, and the power it exerts.●
Sometimes, a piece half written, always pending.
Sometimes, a sonnet, written and beautifully ending.●
Sometimes, a limerick even the children would enjoy.
Sometimes an acrostic we brilliantly ploy.●
Sometimes, a short verse correcting someone.
Sometimes, a never-ending saga like this one.●
The more we learn, the longer we write, the longer it goes.
Of all our thoughts, dreams, fears, fantasies, and woes.●
For some, it's a daily must and an intuition that haunts.
For some, a piece of their heartfelt rendition and inner thoughts.●
So go deeper into the sea of writing, be lost in the multiverse of poetry.
Until the end of your thinking, reasoning, and musing, keep honing your artistry.●
