12: Robin

It has been a week since Ella stayed over after the party and she got robbed. So it has also been a week since I saw her but we have been texting every day. We got to know each other more I even found out we both like to read in our spare time. It is good to know that I am not the only one who spends their time reading.

While we were texting I was planning the date. Our first date. I had a lot of ideas we could do like book shopping, going to a movie, and a reading date. But my final idea was a picnic and go grab some ice cream. I wouldn't tell her anything only when I was going to pick her up and what the dress code was. So after I planned out all the details I had only one job left, send out a text mysterious but not scary. After a long time of doubting, I finally sent it.

Robin: Hi there Ella, you know we have a deal. You would go out on a date with me. It has been over a week and we still haven't gone, but that is because I was planning it. So here are the details. So here are the details. Sunday around 1:00 PM I am going to pick you up from your home don't have lunch before that. And before I pick you up I need to know your address, so what is your address 😉? Before you start asking what we are going to do I am not going to tell you the only thing you can know is... As dress code I want you to wear something that is easygoing but still cute and there will be people around us so keep that in mind.

Ella: Omg the moment has finally come. I thought you would tell me where we are going so I could dress properly for the situation but I guess you like to keep me awake at night. So I like to make a little adjustment to the deal. I am going to send you three outfits and you can choose which one is the best for the situation. Is that alright with you?

Robin: of course that is alright!

Ella: photo 1, so here is the first one it is just a simple dress with flowers nothing much.

Ella: photo 2, so this one is my favorite jeans with a crop top

Ella: photo 3, because you said easy going this is sweatpants with an oversized shirt. Good luck with choosing.

Robin: Okay first let me mention you look absolutely adorable in all those outfits. For this date, I would advise you to choose between photos 1 and 2, what you find the most comfortable.

We texted for a long time after that. Days have flown by and it is Sunday already. Time to get ready for the date. I doubted for a long time what I should wear but my final decision are jeans with a blouse. I sent Finn quick a picture to see if he thinks it is right and it is.

I am on my way now to pick Ella up, I feel kind of nervous but also excited. She lives a 30-minute drive from my house. The train would be faster but that isn't the plan. I am going to pick her up and drive for another 30 minutes. Then we are back in the city but more on the outside of it. There is a wonderful park with a small pond. It is a beautiful summer day so it would be amazing to just sit there. I told if she would like to she could bring a book. I have mine with me, I am reading The Song of Achilles at the moment.

Finally, I find Ella's house she isn't waiting outside so I get out of my car and ring the doorbell. She comes outside in her jeans with a crop top she looks beautiful. Her hair is loose not in a ponytail as I've seen her all the time.

"Are you ready for it?" I asked.

"I am ready, only a little bit nervous. But it will be alright, right?" she said.

"It will be alright I planned something amazing so I hope you will like it too. It is only a 30-minute drive." And I started driving

It was a bit of silence in the car, so I put on my music. She says: " I love this song and starts talking about what kind of music she loves. We discussed our music taste the whole drive. We discovered that we both like Louis Tomlison, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift. But she listened more to indie music were I listen more to rock music. The time has flown by and we are almost there she still doesn't know where we are going. I think she has never been here before, that good then it is even a bigger surprise.

We arrive at the park, I find a parking spot and take the basket and blanket out of the back of my car. She looks at me excitedly, I like her that way I hope this goes right. I take her to my favorite spot by the pond with a tree if she prefers shadow but you can also sit in the sun. I ask: "where do you want to sit?".

Ella says: "OMG I love this place how did I not know about it? I would love to sit in the sun, thank you so much for taking me here!"

I smile: "You probably don't know about it because it is a little further from the city. Not many people come here only the locals. I didn't know about this until three years ago when I was walking around the city. I am happy you like it!"

We talk for along the time about all our hobbies and I only like her more. Now we are reading, no she is reading and I do as if I am reading because I can't concentrate my mind is going crazy. I don't know if it is weird to kiss her right now on the first date but I would love to. She looks so happy here enjoying everything.
