Penny's always known that there was something special between her only son and Maverick Mitchell's only daughter. They've been friends since Penny moved her life to Pigeon Creek, Alabama when Jake was only five, after all. The two of them have caused their parents and Pigeon Creek way too much trouble for two angelic-looking little kids. It surprised nobody, Penny least of all, when the two of them sat her down and told her Linley was pregnant. Jake was so happy.
