Brennen and Jake watched eagerly as Colby slipped on his brand-new leather jacket, admiring the way it fit him perfectly. The jacket seemed to enhance his already handsome appearance, and both Brennen and Jake could feel their hearts fill with joy as they welcomed Colby as a new member of their gang. Brennen couldn't wait to hear what Colby thought of the jacket, so he asked him hopefully, "So, do you like it?" Colby stared at himself in the mirror, beaming with happiness as he gazed at his reflection. He stood there for a moment, admiring the way the jacket hugged his body and highlighted his best features. He posed for a bit, holding the jacket by the rims, and couldn't help but smile in satisfaction. He felt confident and stylish in his new jacket, and was thrilled to be a part of the gang.

Colby's face lit up with a small but grateful smile as he turned to Brennen. "Yes, I do," he replied approvingly, casting a quick glance at Jake. "Thank you, guys," Colby expressed his gratitude. Suddenly, the entrance to the base burst open, the door slamming against the wall with a loud bang. Colby was the first to spin around, his fists raised in a defensive position. Brennen and Jake split, positioning themselves on either side of Colby, ready to hold him back or join him in the fight. The air was tense as they awaited the intruder's next move.

As soon as Jake heard a sound, he called out in a deep voice, a hint of a growl in his tone. "Who's there?" The darkness made it difficult to see, but he could hear slow footsteps approaching from the other side. Suddenly, a tall blonde emerged, causing Colby to tense up and prepare for a fight. However, Jake recognized the figure and shouted out with excitement, a wide smile spreading across his face. "Oh my god, Sam! What's up, dude?!" The two men 'bro-hugged' each other and Brennen greeted the blonde as well, patting him on the back. A small chuckle was heard in the background, and the tension dissipated as they all let out a sigh of relief except for Colby.

"Hey, guys..." Sam trailed off, his eyes landing on Colby, who was standing there confused. "Who's this chic?" Sam asked, eyeing Colby up and down without a reaction. Colby rolled his eyes, the nickname not being new.

"Who are you?" Colby growled, not seeming to like the blonde. He chuckled, stepping toward Colby menacingly as his hands lay in his pockets. The blonde towered over Colby, being slightly taller but not by much. Colby stared up intensely, fighting the urge to punch him.

"Me? I'm-"

"Oh, yeah! Sam, this is Colby, Colby, this is Sam!" Jake spoke for him, grabbing Colby's wrist and forcing them to handshake. Colby flinched back at the touch, avoiding peace with the blonde. Sam looked at Colby for a second, seeming to be checking out his features.

"Hm, seems weak." Sam's sly voice spoke up, moving his shoulders into a shrug. Colby gasped gently, clenching his teeth in anger.

Colby's face turned red with anger as he vehemently challenged the person in front of him. "Weak?! I'd kick your ass!" he exclaimed, his voice loud and aggressive. Brennen and Jake, who were standing nearby, appeared unfazed by the confrontation and watched calmly. It seemed like this kind of altercation was nothing out of the ordinary for them.

Sam looked at Colby with a smirk on his face, then shrugged nonchalantly. "Sure you would, cutie," he said in a condescending tone. With that, Sam turned around and started walking up the stairs, leaving Colby standing there feeling confused and frustrated. Colby couldn't help but dislike this blonde guy, who seemed to take pleasure in belittling him.

"I don't like him."

"Oh, c'mon, Colby! He's great once you get to know him!" Jake said, his hands rubbing Colby's shoulder gently with excitement.

Brennen let out a chuckle and turned his gaze towards Colby, cautioning him against engaging in any physical confrontations with the rest of the group. "Trust me, he's the strongest of the lot. And, of course, the smartest," he remarked with a hint of admiration in his voice. Colby, who seemed to be well acquainted with Brennen's jestful banter, grinned and shook his head before making his way out of the room.

It may take a while, but Brennen and Jake know that they'll get along.
