Colby's blue eyes fluttered gently as he gradually regained consciousness, feeling the softness of the bed beneath him. The black blankets covering him were silky to the touch, and the curtains draping over his bed frame were a perfect match. As he sat up, he rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the grogginess and confusion. This was not his usual spot on the couch. In fact, he couldn't recall ever being in this room before. The decor was eerie and mysterious, with a dark and creepy vibe that seemed to permeate the walls. From the furnishings to the artwork on the walls, everything was perfectly in sync with his personal taste.

Knocking him out of his thoughts, a knock erupted from the other side of his door.

"Who's there?" Colby called out, his voice groggy as he was still trying to escape his exhaustion as he had just woken up. Two small chuckles were heard from the other end until the door was burst open. Yelping, Colby hid under the covers, expecting an intruder. Fortunately, bursts of familiar laughter came from the doorway.

"Mornin' Colby!" Brennen piped up cheerfully, a huge smile on his face as he watched Colby stop cowering under the covers, his face popping up as the blankets dropped onto his thighs.

"Morning, Brennen, Jake."

Jake smiled, waving gently.

"So, how's your room?" Brennen asked, his hands being placed proudly on his hips as he took in the teamwork of him and Jake. His eyes glanced to the chandelier that was placed in the middle of the room, well, the one dangling from the ceiling, of course.

"Wait, my room?" Colby asked, his eyes widening as he felt a smile creep on his face.

"Nah, not your room, it's Jake's," Brennen said, sarcasm laced in his voice, Colby not catching on as disappointment replaced his once joyful features.

"...Oh-"

"Who else's room would it be?! Of course, it's your room, Colby!"

Colby gasped, a wide smile creeping onto his face as he leaped out of the covers, rushing to Jake and Brennen. Quickly, Colby wrapped his arms around the neck of Brennen, hugging him ever so tightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" His voice was muffled by Brennen's shoulder, but he and Jake could still hear the excitement of Colby's voice.

Brennen was shocked, and never received attention like this. Hesitantly, a smile resumed on his face as he wrapped his arms around the brunette.

"No problem, kiddo."

After finishing his hug with Brennen, Colby wrapped his arms around Jake's neck as well, hugging him just as tight. "Thank you, Jake," Colby thanked him as well, calming down slightly. Jake chuckled, hugging Colby back.

"Of course, Bubba."

"Bubba?"

"Yeah, Bubba."

Brennen's chuckle was heard, both Colby and Jake grinning happily.

"Hey, Colbs," The blonde said, not bothering a single glance at the brunette as he was more focused on grabbing a cup of coffee.

"Hey, Sam," Colby mumbled tiredly. "Let me guess, we're training bright and early, aren't we?" Colby suggested, letting Sam know that he's been thinking about it. A smile appeared on the blonde's face before he turned back to Colby, the sound of coffee brewing in the background.

"Actually, no, we aren't."

"Wait, really? Why?"

Sam chuckled, a grin on his face as he felt a sense of pride to be the one to tell Colby of his success. "You ever wonder why you got your room?" Sam asked, grabbing his coffee as it was now done.

"...Kinda?"

Sam sipped his coffee.

"Well, it's because you succeeded. You're now able to go on missions with us." A gasp escaped Colby's plump lips, excitement and nervousness running through his veins.

"What?!"

"Yeah, you're done."

Colby grinned widely, feeling the need to give Sam a hug as well. Running up to Sam, Colby wrapped his arms around his neck, squeezing him tightly. Sam chuckled, wrapping his arms around his lower torso. "Thank you, Sam... for everything." Colby thanked him genuinely, their bond growing stronger and stronger every minute.

"You're welcome, Colbs."

Everyone was sitting down in the meeting room, where they met Colby. Devyn, Elton, and Jake were all on one side while Colby, Sam, and Brennen were on the other. Corey was in the front of the room, explaining their next mission to the brunette, well, everyone, but mostly Colby.

"Now, since Colby doesn't know about our rivals, I'm going to introduce every single member," Corey explained, using a stick to point to words on the board. "First of all, I'm going to start by informing you about the gang and what they do." Corey reminded Colby, making sure he was paying attention. And of course, Colby's eyes were glued on Corey, waiting for further information. "Our rivals are The Piercing Reptiles. They've always been the same and they've never changed their leader." Corey stated, slowly drifting toward a portrait of a man with fluffy brown hair that stopped at his shoulders.

"This is Norman Lorco, the mafia of the group. He isn't the strongest, but he's the most skilled. He never changed, even after watching millions of his friends die in front of him. He has a cold heart, but doesn't care to target us." Corey said, circling his photo. Colby nodded, as well as the rest of the group.

"Now, we'll move to the second leader," Corey said, pointing to a young man with fluffy blonde hair, a scar drifting over his blue eyes. "Marcus Eron, the darkest and most sly. He has the most power and the most hatred for us. He won't hesitate to strike, if he does, he's only planning to trick and manipulate you into betraying yourself or others." Corey said before sighing. "I'd watch out when you're near."

"Third, we have the members," Corey said, pointing to a total of six people. "Denise Loraine," Corey said, pointing to a woman with brown curly hair tied into two buns, tattoos on her collarbones and her cheek, rings littering his fingers, and beautiful brown eyes. "Aaron Doh, an old member that betrayed us," Corey said, pointing to a male with pale skin, blue eyes, and light brown hair. "Maria Logan," Corey pointed to a woman with pasty white hair and dark blue eyes, beautiful pale skin.

"Lariss Minio," Corey said, pointing to a lady with brown hair and tattoos. "Jorno Extrina," He said, pointing to a man with dreads and beautiful dark skin. "And last but not least, Charlie Shrone," Corey said, pointing to a woman with beautiful blonde hair and piercing blue eyes.

"We will all be meeting them in battle tomorrow," Corey said. "But I assure you, I won't let anything happen."

Colby sighed, nodding.

"Now, let's get onto our game plan..."
