Rekindling Passion

As time passed, Kid got better, but the distance between him and his ravens felt like it grew. Killer finally grew tired of watching and approached his best friend and captain.  "You're an idiot."

Kid looks up from where he sat. "huh?"

"You're sitting here on your ass while all three of you are miserable. You need to fix it. This whole thing is your fault and everyone is suffering because of it."

Kid sighs. "I can't. I screwed up beyond repair. I'm no good at showing my emotions. You know this! I...started falling in love and when I realized it, it scared me. I haven't felt that way since Victoria and I didn't want to feel that way again. I didn't want to love and lose again...."

Killer rolls his eyes behind his mask. "First off, they wouldn't have saved your ass if they didn't still care for you. Secondly, Victoria was different. These two can hold their own and they won't go down without a fight. Plus you know better now. Go talk to them now. Or I will kick your ass myself." He turns and walks away.

Kid sighs, scrubbing a hand down his face. He was right and he knew it, but how did he apologize properly? He screwed up so bad and he wasn't sure how to fix it. He gets up and goes to find one of them. He hoped they weren't together. Alexis would never let him talk to Law if she was with him. It was understandable though. He did a lot of damage to him.

Kid sees Law from a distance. He was alone, sitting on the deck and reading one of his many medical books. He takes a deep breath and approaches him.

Law looks up and sees him, bolting up from his seat. "Eustass- y..y.."

Kid frowns as he finally notices that Law was actively trying to stop his tic. That was his fault too. "Law... I'm not going to harm you. I've done too much of that already. I can't even begin to express how sorry I am.... Dammit... I hurt you so bad..." Kid's eyes began to tear up.

Law shuffled his feet, feeling awkward. He saw Kid struggling with his words and it kind of hurt to watch. Law acted on impulse and grabbed Kid's goggles, taking off with them.

Kid chased after Law, growling at him to give his goggles back. Law just laughs, having missed messing with the red head and continues to run from him. Before long, Kid corners Law by the med bay. Law is against the wall with Kid's arms on either side of his shoulders, pinning him in.

"Give me back my goggles, Trafalgar." Kid growls.

"What goggles?" Law grins. Kid feels his breath hitch, having missed that grin of his.

"God, I love you....." Slipped passed his lips on a breathy sigh. Law's eyes widen, surprise flooding his face. Kid had never said that to him before. Kid places a hand to the side of his face, gently stroking his cheek with his thumb. "I love you so much, Law. I'm so sorry I let you feel otherwise."  Tears sting the corners of Law's eyes. He never expected this.

"Eusta....." Law starts before Kid brings his lips down to meet the other man's, keeping the contact gentle. He wanted Law to feel treasured, deepening the kiss, but keeping it slow.

"Is the tanuki in the med bay?" Kid asks as he slightly pulls away, leaving Law breathless.

"N-no, he's on the island with the rest of the straw hats and Alexis-y...Alexis." Alexis still didn't want to leave the two alone for too long for fear of an accidental episode, but after some convincing from the other girls, she agreed. She deserved to have some time to herself.

"Good." Kid said, encouraging Law to wrap his legs around his waist. Law does so hesitantly. Kid finds Law's lips again as he stumbles into the med bay, locking the door behind them.
