Loves Demise (new)

A news bird drops a paper on the deck of The Sunny, inches from Robin and flies away. Robin picks it up and begins to read the headliner. Shock covers her face. "Luffy!" She calls.

"What is it, Robin?" Luffy asks, looking up from the game he was playing with Ussop. Alexis walks over to see what the concern was as Robin hands the paper to Luffy. Luffy shakes his head.

"This can't be right. Traffy and Jaggy are too strong to be killed." Luffy says. Alexis' eyes widen. What did he just say?

"The Kid Pirates were defeated by Red-Haired Shanks after attacking Elbaf . The Heart Pirates were taken down by Blackbeard after a suprise attack. The captain of the Heart Pirates put up a good fight, but was ultimately defeated. Both ships and crews were destroyed." Robin reads.

"What? Let me see that!" Alexis takes the paper and reads it over herself. All color drained from her face as tears began to roll down her face. The paper fell from her hands after seeing exactly what Robin had read. Sanji looked over, sensing a lady in distress.

"Alexis-swan?" He asked, concerned. Alexis rushed away, ignoring all the concerned looks.

The crew shared confused looks. Why was she reacting this way? Though they should have expected this due to her close friendship with the Heart and Kid Pirate crews.

"Lexi was really close friends with Traffy and his crew and Jaggy's crew." Luffy says. Out of everyone, Luffy understood his sister the best. He knew she was hurting and needed time alone. "Blackbeard was also responsible for Ace's death so that probably didn't help." He added, picking his nose.

The crew sent sad looks her way, not having known how deep this news would cut her.

Alexis spent the next week thinking about a range of things from how the Heart Pirates were killed by the same man who betrayed her brother, ultimately causing his death, to the fact that Kid had been stupid enough to challenge her Uncle Shanks yet again, resulting in his ship and crew being destroyed this time. Alexis thought she lost Killer and Penguin, her best friends, but more importantly Law and Kid, the men she loved.

She shook her head, denying feeling anything for those two. She didn't want to love anyone and then lose them. That was when her feelings for those two captains surfaced, but sadly it was too late. She waited and now they were both gone for good.

Now here she was, a crying mess since the paper arrived with the devastating news. She had locked herself up in her room for days, not eating or sleeping.

The sweet ball of sunshine that was her little brother was the reason she had to force herself to finally leave her room, putting a smile back on her face. Everyone but Luffy could tell the smile wasn't real.

Law coughed up water from his lungs as Bepo pulls him onto the shore. His hands curl into fists as he begins to slam them into the ground, screaming at the top of his lungs. His crew, his family, were gone and he could do nothing to save them. Bepo silently watched as he mourned for their fallen comrades along with him. He had to hold out hope that the crew was okay, but he couldn't give his captain that kind of hope right now.

Bepo eventually got Law up and they moved inland, away from the shore and any eyes that may find them. Law moved numbly. He was still processing that he would never see his nakama again. He fell to the ground again as wave after wave of grief and anger hit him. Bepo dragged him along.

Kid was punching things in anger. Why the hell did he think it was a good idea to take on Shanks again? Defeating Big Mom went to his head. He was so full of himself he got all, but Killer killed, and that was a close call too. Killer shakes his head at his captain. He knew where his head was at, but beating things up was not going to help anything.
