Later that day after that whole thing with Tyrell in the hallway happened I had been getting weird text messages from numbers I didn't recognize.
*Don't trust Tyrell. He's totally playing you.*
*He only wants you so he can hit it then dip on you.*
*Tyrell is playing you and you're too dumb to see it.*
*I can't wait to see the look on your face when he fucks you over.*
None of that could possibly be true. Tyrell is definitely not playing me. He said he wouldn't do anything to hurt me. He gave me his word. Nahh I'm overthinking things.
Bzz Bzz
*Hey baby. Wanna come over and chill?*
*Sure. I'll be over in a few.* I hit the send button and immediately started jumping for joy.
Tyrell was the one person who could make everything seem better even when everything wasn't going well. I really just needed him to reassure me that those text messages from before were wrong.
I took a quick shower and threw on some sweatpants and a sweater over my tank top. I grabbed my keys from the hook on my wall and my phone and headed out the door. I got in my car and strapped myself in. I strummed my fingers on the steering wheel as I debated on going to Tyrell's house. I had been sitting in my car for a good 10 minutes before I actually put my car in reverse and backed out of the driveway.
To calm my nerves I turned on the radio. It was blasting some trash music from the old people station my mom was always listening to.
"Really mom." I said shaking my head.
I flipped through the stations until I landed on K104. Unfortunately it was on commercial and I really didn't feel like looking for another station to listen to so I just left it. I decided to stop at McDonald's and pick up some food for Tyrell and I. I ordered 2 burgers and 1 larger fries with 2 Doctor Peppers. I hope he liked Doctor Pepper.
I finally made my way to his house and parked in the driveway. I turned off the radio and sat in silence for at least 5 minutes. I really couldn't get the text messages from those random numbers out of my head. I mean I was dating a player. Well an ex-player. Would he just go back to his old ways like that? I took up the food and the drinks and got out of the car. I walked up to his front door and hit the doorbell with my elbow.
After several moments of standing outside the door unlocked and swung open.
"Hey. I brought food." I said.
Immediately his face lit up. I mean mine would too if I saw someone at my door with food. He attempt to kiss me but I dodged it and invited myself in closing the door behind me. I placed the food on the table in the living room and put my keys down along with my phone. I watched as Tyrell strolled over the the couch and placed himself carefully in the couch. I sat not so close to him and slid his food over. He had a confused look on his face but said nothing. Instead he put on Netflix and picked out a movie. As he inched closer to me I moved towards the edge o the couch.
"What's wrong with you?" He asked me. "Why are you acting so distant? You ain't even wanna give me a kiss earlier."
"I just need to ask you some questions."
"Umm...aright? Ask away."
"How many girls have you slept with?"
"What the hell? Why are you asking me this?"
"Just answer the question." I said trying not the raise my voice.
"3."
"Is that it?" I asked trying to read his face for a lie.
"Yes." He answered with a straight face.
"Did you leave after you slept with them?"
"Yes." He said lowering his eyes to the ground.
"Did you love any of them?"
"No. Mani why are you asking me all these weird questions? I invited you over to chill not interrogate me." He laughed half heartedly.
"No reason." I said not so convincingly.
"Look I know you have trust issues and whatever else but I assure you I don't want anyone else but you. You're the first person I've had feelings for in a very long time."
I looked into his eyes to see if he was telling the truth. I wanted to believe that what he was saying was completely true. Otherwise I would just be wasting my time and effort with him.
"You really mean that? Swear on your moms that you mean every word that just came out of your mouth."
"Armani, I swear on my moms that I mean every single word that I have said all evening. I'm not lying to you. I would never do anything to hurt you. I've told you this over and over."
He placed our food on the table and took my hands in his. He leaned it and pressed his lips aggressively against mine. I welcomed his aggression and kissed him back. I let go of his hands, wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned back on the couch. He lips left mine and moved to my neck. It felt so amazing. Soft moans escaped my lips as his hands moved up into my sweater.
"Wait. No, stop." I said pushing him off of me aggressively. "Is this all you wanted from me? A quick fuck? Was this your idea of chill? I can't believe you."
I packed up all my things and headed towards the door. "Don't talk to me ever again!" I yelled storming out of his house slamming the door behind me as I left.
