Theo woke with Liam's arm draped over him and his head on Theo's chest, he smiled to himself before carefully moving the beta so he could get up. He began making his way out of the room, noticing that Mason and Corey weren't in there anymore either.

As he walked downstairs he could hear several people talking. Mason, Nolan and Alec were in the kitchen attempting to cook breakfast, the keyword in that sentence is attempting.

"Oh my goodness, let me do it." Lori huffed, pushing the boys off the way, she was more herself again now she had slept properly. Once Brett was found then she would be able to be herself fully again. Alec looked at Lori like he had just been shouted at by his mother, causing Nolan and Mason to laugh uncontrollably. Corey gave his boyfriend and bestfriend a stern look and began helping Lori with breakfast, the other three boys running into the living room while giggling to themselves.

Lori and Corey just rolled their eyes and continued, Corey started frying the bacon while Lori did the toast. "Absolute little shits." Corey muttered to himself, causing Theo to chuckle as he walked into the kitchen.

"Well good morning Theodore." Corey said smiling at the other, "Morning Core," Theo smiled back, "Morning Lori." He didn't really know Lori but he wanted to be polite.

She gave Theo a warm smile, "Good morning Theo," she looked at him a little longer, like she was contemplating something, "Could you be ever so kind and make the coffee??" She spoke practically giving him puppy dog eyes.

He snorted before agreeing and began getting some mugs out for the coffee.

Hayden, Tracy and Josh sat in the living room, now joined by Mason, Nolan and Alec, who were causing chaos of course. The two girls must've begun reconnecting again as Tracy was now braiding Hayden's hair, she used to let Tracy play with her hair when she was stressed because she knew it helped her feel less on edge. Josh sat on the armchair by himself, a very subtle smile across his face as he watched Tracy's face while she concentrated on the braids.

When he woke up this morning it was so strange, he could remember yesterday vividly but he also could remember pretty much everything else. He remembers Tracy being the only person he had left, he remembers the crush he had on Corey and he remembers the fear he had for Theo. As of right now Tracy still felt like the person he was closest to, he could definitely understand why he had a crush on Corey, he saw the boy with Mason this morning and the way his hair was all messy from sleep was pretty much the most adorable thing Josh had ever seen.

Theo for some reason didn't scare him right now, back then all Theo had to do was look at him and he would be terrified but after seeing the way he acted around Liam, how could Josh possibly be scared of him? Theo looks like an actual puppy around Liam, which Josh will never admit to anyone because he isn't scared of Theo but he also isn't stupid.

Theo finished making everyone coffee but he hated to admit he was honestly scared to give anyone coffee. What if they accuse him of poisoning it? He didn't want to make Josh or Tracy any more uncomfortable than they already feel around him.

Corey must've noticed Theo's predicament, "You finish cooking the bacon, I'll deal with the coffee." He said patting Theo on the back lightly and handing him the spatula.

Theo was extremely grateful for Corey right now, he nodded, smiling at him and then moved over so Corey could grab the mugs of coffee.

Lori and Theo kept preparing breakfast in silence however it wasn't an uncomfortable situation, almost the opposite.

Liam came trudging down the stairs, his eyes looking around the living room for Theo. Alec looked up at Liam and nodded his head in the direction of the kitchen before smiling, the beta returned the smile before walking into the next room.

"Morning," he murmured softly but interrupted himself before Theo could respond, "Bacon!!"

Lori chuckled to herself but continued spreading butter on the toast, "Yes bacon." Theo spoke rolling his eyes playfully, before handing Liam a piece of the bacon.

His smile was so wide as he took the bacon out of Theo's hand and began eating it, "Thank you." Liam whispered, and proceeded to eat his bacon while watching Theo cook the rest.

Once everything was cooked, Lori shouted the other through to come and help themselves. After everyone had what they wanted, they all went back to the living room and made themselves comfortable. Weirdly enough the conversation came naturally as they all began speaking, even Josh and Tracy were laughing lightly and joining in a little.

It was one of those memories that would stick in all of their heads, where they just felt like normal teenagers for a little while.

It felt nice knowing that they could have moments like this before they had to go back to being their supernatural selves.

After they'd finished eating, they spoke about some places they could look for Brett. Liam needed to update his dad on what was happening before they began looking so they stopped at the hospital first because his dad had a shift.

The others waiting in the cars, they took Theo's and Corey's. "Be right back!" Liam said, smiling in Theo's direction and then going into the hospital.

Liam started to make his way towards the reception but a hand wrapped around his mouth and dragged him into one of the rooms along the corridor.

The pack stood outside the cars now just talking quietly amongst themselves, as they spoke Mason felt Lori tense up next to him, "Lori, everything okay?" He asked, slightly concerned.

"Brett, he is in the hospital." She said before running inside, no one questioned how she knew this, it must've been some kind of pack bond, they just followed her quickly.

Liam was now pushed against the wall, before he could panic fully he realised who it was. Brett.

Brett had him, he had Liam, now he and Lori could stay alive and they would also have revenge on the beta that killed them.

He held him up against the wall, his forearm pushed against Liam's neck, "You don't have to do this, Brett please." Liam croaked, his eyes welling with tears from his oxygen being cut off.

"Yes. Yes I do have to." Brett growled at the beta, "You killed us."

Lori burst through the doors, the others close behind her, "He didn't, Brett he didn't kill us."

His head snapped in the direction of his sister, "Liam tried to save us, it was the hunters who did that to us. They killed us, not Liam, I promise, Brett please just let him go." Lori looked at her brother as spoke, with pleading eyes.

Brett didn't budge at first, eventually though, he removed his arm, and stepped back slightly as Liam's body fell down the wall, trying to gain his breath back. He trusted his sister more than anyone in the world, so he knew she would never lie to him.

A/N : I only have a couple more chapters of this book left, Im aware this has only been short lol.
