Gus Pov:

I watch as Luz stuck her face a bit too close to the cauldron as she watches the water slowly start to steam. Sticking out their tongue slightly as they dug their hands into their seat letting their nails scratch the wood "I don't think, human is one of the ingredients," Willow chuckled, placing her pale hand onto the darker skin human forehead trying to push their face away from the stream. Making Luz pull their eyes away from the slowly boiling water as I lean onto one of the desks. placing both of my arms on the hardwood as my stomach kept swirling as I waited for the time to tick by. Keeping an eye out for a pink hair witch that wants both Matt and me as target practice.

"I need this to work, I can't fail another potion," Luz said, swaying their hands a bit as she spoke, almost knocking over one of the small vials. "Let's not knock anything into it then," I said, pushing the glass vials away from the opening of the cauldron, making Luz chuckle and rub the back of their neck. I only smile for a moment before letting it fall as I turn my head towards the open door watching as students walk down the hall. Wasting their extra time before class started letting their mindless chatter fill the open air. "Still worried about Boscha?" Luz asked, making me slowly nod before letting out a long dragged sigh and pushing the air out of my lungs. Making them squeeze as my throat dried before I let a breath of air slip through my lips and fill my lungs once again. "Don't you remember when Boscha followed us around ALL DAY, just to bully the three of us," I said, dragging my head away from the door and letting the pale witch and the mocha-colored human come into view.

I watch as they both physically shiver at the memory making their bodies stiffen and faces scrunch. I only sighs again as I run my finger through my hair trying to ignore the anxiety that was bubbling in my gut. "I'm sure everything will be okay," Willow said, playing with her hands as she let one of her comforting soft smiles take over her face. Despite the lovely smile, I could see through her glasses and into her eyes that held too much doubt for the words that left her mouth. "I'm just worried," I mutter letting my cheek rest on the palm of my hand as I allow my eye to travel over the wooded desk. I was looking over every natural curve in the wood and the ones that past students had craved with their pencils. Leaving behind dark lines from where their lead had been left behind to rot into their new home. Never seeing the day when they could have become beautiful words written on a sheet of paper. Maybe becoming a poem that will ring in other ears for years to come or perhaps a soppy essay that would be thrown in the trash at the end of the day.

"I already got Boscha taken care of," A familiar voice called out, making my heart jump as a smile crept onto my face. I whipped my head towards the open door ready to see the chestnut color witch that filled my dreams. Only to see another student, one that I've seen before but can't put a name to the face. They had a long face that was stuck with a wobbly smile as if they were too nervous to say what was on their mind. Their skin was a light yellow like a lemon that grew in the summer sun. Eyes that are shaped like almonds and have an icy blue iris that conflicted with their deep purple uniform. Then it hit me this is the guy who cheered for Willow on that same day that Boscha let us meet her wrath. "Go willow," He would say with his arms normally in the air, Titan what is his name?

"Hey, is there anything we can help you with?" I asked as I kept letting names that didn't seem to fit quite right run through my head. He took a few steps towards me cupping his hands together and rubbing the yellow skin together. I could see both of the girls in the corner of my eye raise an eyebrow at the student. None of us has ever really talked to him before so why he popped out all of the sudden was a bit confusing. "There's something you can help me with handsome," He cooed before gripping the top of my uniform and pulling me closer to him as a cheeky grin took over his face. To say I was caught off guard was an understatement as my breath hitched. I moved my foot back ready to back away until my hip met with the desk I was just looking over a moment before.
