"Summertime. It was a song. It was a season. I wondered if that season would ever live inside of me." -Benjamin Alire Sáenz, Last Night I Sang to the Monster

Lachlan's POV

Still waves were heard on the on the other side of the bland grey warehouse. Mitch crept up next to the door, with me snd Vikk behind him. He secured the ring around this finger and looked back at us.

"Ready?"

"Hold on."

I looked behind me at Vikk and saw glimpses of worry in his eyes. The eyes that were always filled with color and excitement was now holding anxiety and worry. I bent down a bit and pecked his lips, to give him reassurance that everything will be alright.

He kissed me back with a non worrisome eyes. Vikk nodded and gave me a toothy grin, in which I happily returned. A sign breathed through my chest as I gave Mitch a nod.

Bajancandian opened up the already open door and hugged the wall inside. Vikk and I quickly followed him, making sure that we didn't lose our footing along the way.

The warehouse was lacking in keen, making it seem like a cold hearted bitch. Mitch pointed to a room on the far side of the warehouse, I nodded in response and started hugging the wall with him to get to the room.

Not once did Vikk bump into me, nor did he make any sharp movements when a rodent would run across the floor. My little Vikky sticky gained his confidence. There was a quiet thump that was heard on the East side of the warehouse with the sound of something being carefully dragged. Goddamnit Preston and Brandon you guys better be alright or I'm going to flip shit!

Mitch must have heard what I heard because he picked up his pace. Every once and a while I could hear water dripping but it was faint.

We finally made it to the door of the room with no casualties or noises.

"Wait, how are we going to get inside?!"

Mitch hurried whispered to Vikk and I. Holy shit, we don't have anything to open the door. Wow, well um that's just peachy.

"I don't know, I thought you may have had a plan!"

"Wait, Vikk This door looks pretty new and there's no lock on it. Have you seen doors like this before?"

Vikk moved closer to the door and inspected its edges and frames. After a minute or two it was like a little bulb went off in his head.

"Guys, this door was made by my families business."

"Vikk, I thought your family owned a technology business."

"Eh, technology, secret doors I mean their pretty much the same thing."

"Dude, I feel like your family has a business in anything technical."

"Pretty much, now hush up. I need to remember how to open the door."

Vikks hands sweep across the surface of the door. He tapped a few areas around the door and got on his knees.

"I figured it out, we hardly manufacture these types of doors because of how hard they are to open. But...."

"But?"

I looked left and right to make sure no one had saw us. I don't even want to think of the possibilities that would happen if someone found us.

"Since this is my families brand door there should be a star somewhere on the door. Lachlan help me find it, Mitch keep watch."

I stood face to face with the door, looking on top While Vikk looked on the bottom. A star huh? Hmm I guess you could saw I'm looking for a Star123. Get it? Vikks gamertag is Vikkstar123, and we're looking for a star and yeah I had no idea where I was going with that.

"I found it, get ready to run inside."

Vikk started hitting the door in specific spots, that formed in the shape star.

"What is it with you and stars?"

"Well, let's just say...I got into some creepy shit in middle school."

There was a was a sudden click that propped the door open some, Vikk got off of his kness and started pulling the door open. Micth and I lended Vikk a hand because the door was about a good two or three inches thick of steel.

We finally got it open and my jaw almost dropped to the floor.

"Oh"

"My"

"Everythingbadformeandgrass."

Vikk and I looked over at Mitch and questioned his response. The hell? Everything bad for me and grass? I turned my head back to the vault that was filled to the brim with fat stacks of cash.

"Come on, Lachlan let's grab as much cash as we can and get the fuck out of dodge."

I laughed at his reference and pulled out multiple trash bags out of my pocket. Man, Rob almost thought of everything. I mean if I didn't have these trash bags I would have started stuffing money in my bra. Wait, I don't wear bras. So I would stuff the money in my boxers? How do I even come up with these things?!

"Ready Lachy?"

I opened up all of my trash bags abd looked over at Vikk.

"Let's get it."

We rushed inside and started shoving wads of cash in the trashbags. Hundreds of bills were in my hand as I threw them in the trash bags. There were very few one dollar bills because the fifties, twenties, fives, tens, and hundreds over powered them.

"Hurry up guys!"

"We're going as fast as we can!"

"Don't you sass me!"

"Suck a dick, Mitch."

"Trust me, after all this is over I will be deep throating Jerome."

Explicit images flooded throughout my mind, which made me pick up my pace.

"HEY!"

I looked out the door and saw a big guy running towards us. Oh shit that must be the guy that Jerome was talking about.

"Hey is for horses."

Mitch uppercutted him, which seemed to piss the guy off.

"Oh, you wanna go pretty boy?"

"Awe, thank you for calling me pretty. But I'm happily in a relationship and-"

Mitch was cut off when a heavy blow striked his head. He fell on the ground and the body builder jumped on top of him, making him lose his breath. Mitch quickly recovered and kicked the guy off of him.

"I have all the money!"

I looked back at Vikk who had several trash bags in his hands. The vault was now whipped clean.

"Bam!"

"Bam!"

"Bam!"

Three gunshots went off just outside the door, soon after the gun shots were fired a thin pool of blood slowly leaked inside the vault.

I followed the bloodstream, with hope that it didn't lead to Mitch.
