Han Joo stared at his phone, the news articles clear. The door to the office opened and he startled, fumbling his phone which loudly dropped on the desk.
Seon Mi didn't even comment and just said her usual good morning which he echoed with a nervous smile.
While she went to her office, he wondered if he should tell her. But she had been so happy lately. If she knew her boyfriend was gay, she might be sad.
And that always meant that she would throw herself in her work, which meant more haunted houses to visit.
Han Joo shuddered at the thought, but he was grateful for the job , which paid exceedingly well.
Staring at the screen of his phone again, he felt torn. But, he couldn't let her find out through the media either.
Swallowing nervously, Han Joo gathered his courage and went to her office.
"Yes, what is it, Han Joo? Seon Mi asked, giving him her full attention, which made him even more nervous.
"There is something about Mr. Son in the news," Han Joo said, thrusting his phone in front of her face. Seon Mi blinked, but took the device from his hands, reading the article.
Her eyebrows rose in surprise at the text, before a smile blossomed on her face.
"Oh, that is something else," she said with a grin, handing the phone back to her employee.
Han Joo looked at her in surprise. He hadn't expected her to start crying, seeing that she wasn't the kind of person, but he did expect some held in anger.
"You knew?" He asked, thinking that she might have been in the know, actively trying to hide the fact that her boyfriend was dating another guy.
"Of course not. Media these days, posting things without verifying," Seon Mi said, still looking amused.
Han Joo gave a nervous looking laugh and went back to his desk, wondering if his boss was just deluding herself.
"Cold?" Winter asked Oh Gong, who was eating the ice cream and tried to huddle more and more under his expensive coat, shivering.
"Yeah," Oh Gong answered and looking surprised to have Winter throw a blanket over him, but he still wrapped it tight around himself, "where were you earlier? I've been waiting for half an hour before you came,"
"There was some trouble that needed handling," Winter said calmly.
"Still a lot of problems?" Oh Gong asked.
"I have noticed that there is still an increase, but PK has been helping out a lot. He seems to be more energetic lately," Winter said, "stronger as well. I guess having Bu Ja with him helps him,"
Oh Gong fingered the wound on his neck thoughtfully. He knew that the rumour about the strength increase was true, and it seemed like PK had just taken enough of Samjang in him to have a boost in his strength.
It really didn't matter as long as he used the extra power to help them out, and make sure his Seon Mi would be safe. Oh Gong leaned back against the chair and ate another scoop of ice cream, shivering a little, but savouring the flavour.
"Do you still have some strawberry ice cream left over?" Oh Gong asked.
"Of course I do," winter replied.
"Well fetch me a tub I'm going to visit Seon Mi," Oh Gong said, getting up and supporting himself on his cane, struggling to get his feet under him.
Winter quickly fetched in the ice cream and ask if he needed any help, looking at him with eyes full of worry.
