(A/N make sure you caugh up with chapter 15 first, Watty is playing naughty and stole the Time Turner. It notifies this chapter before chapter 15 🙄)

You expected life after graduation to be somehow exciting.
Instead after some weeks it gets quite boring.
It's the first September away from Hogwarts.
If summer was very lively in Diagon Alley, fall is so quiet and very little happened.
The muggle world war is over.
The magical one is about to end and you're waiting for history to happen.
You have to bite your tongue repeatedly to avoid spoiling what you already know. But finally the dawn of the 2nd of November 1945 arrives and Dumbledore finally faces Grindelwald and defeats him.
The winter holidays never lasted so long.
But you're not affected by all the celebrations. You are aware that it's just a brief truce. Somewhere a young Voldemort is on his way to become even worse than Grindelward.
And you're so far from stopping him.

In the meanwhile you resumed the small job in the pub while Tom, the brilliant, model student Tom Riddle, is just a shop assistant in Burkes shop in Knockturn Alley.
You think he refused all the flattering offers from the Ministry out of spite for having been refused from Hogwarts.
He is having his experience with dark artefacts and he's somehow fascinated by them. He likes to talk about them when you reunite in his flat in the evening.
You're tempted to ask him if he can find some item that can work as a Time Turner, but you have to keep biting your tongue.
Maybe if you're not allowed to travel back to your destroyed time, it's because you need to find Voldemort and stop him, since in your time Harry Potter isn't enough.
Maybe you'll have to sacrifice yourself to save your future.
You think you failed in solving Moaning Myrtle's mystery, so you expect to fail also in finding Voldemort.
But if not even the great and powerful and experienced Albus Dumbledore hadn't been able to detect him before Voldemort would rise to power, then what can a young girl like you do?

You grow obsessed with finding young Voldemort as much as you were with Myrtle's mystery.

More likely Tom has more chances of finding him, since someone like Voldemort would enjoy the shop Tom's working for.

And you miss Hogwarts.
You keep dreaming of it.
Like it's calling you to go back home.

Until eventually you're back there, in the familiar staircase and halls, in your familar tower.
You look out of the dump windows but there's little to see. The landscape is hidden by mist and darkness.
It's cold.
In your tower it shouldn't be that cold.
And it's so silent.
You can hear your own breathing and your heartbeats.
Where is everyone?
It's still early in the evening.
Where are the students?

Goosebumps cover your skin and you hug yourself.
You weren't aware that you were holding your wand and eventually your fingers let it fall.
You hear it crashing on the floor.
You look down.
Your wand rolls on the floor when...

Crack.
It is ripped in two.
You gasp and then let out a scream, shocked.
How is it possible?
Your wand...

Then you notice bare feet on the floor, barely releaved by a long dark tunic.
You look up and feel like dying.
Because that's him. The one who destroyed your world.
