The next evening after the christening party,Rose was at her backyard training on her own.In a while,she will leave for the night shift.So for the meantime,she trained with her sword.

"Oh here you are." Rose stopped when she saw her only friend-Chris coming through her back door.Okay,maybe Chris no longer her only friend.

She has a new friend now.James asked her the previous night when he walked her to door.She didn't know what prompted her to accept the friendship. Because she doesn't want to be rude?.But her heart had warmed when he asked.

"Down to earth Rose.What were you thinking?." Chris chuckled and sat on a stone.

"Oh you tell me about it.What was that stunt you pulled yesterday?, are you crazy?." Rose shook her head with a small smile on her face.Dropping the sword,she sat on an opposite stone to Chris.

"Oh that was an honest mistake." Chris waved dismissively.

"What prompted it?,didn't you know you were speaking with your mind?." Rose was suddenly curious.

"The lady yesterday was a wild one.She wanted to hear it in her head-in her mind but as you know,I have to create a compartment in my head to be able to mind-link only her.So I thought I already did and then when I thought I was mind linking her,I was shouting it to the pack." Chris ear reddens and Rose laughed.

"You are an idiot.What did Jacque said after Alpha Jayden called your attention to it?."

"Oh Jacque,that's her name.Anyways we both were shocked for a while then burst into laughter.It was funny and she didn't get angry." Chris shrugged smiling lightly.

"I see you are particularly fond of this one. Are you keeping her?." Rose is not the one to Judge,But she knows Jacque is not a fine choice for her friend.

As much as she loved the idea of Chris going for a Chosen mate,she didn't want Jacque for him.She'd met the young woman few times and the first impression she gave her was not the one Rose liked.

"I will be keeping Jacque but she won't be my chosen mate.We've agreed on casual sex.She was even the one who suggested it and since she's the best sexual partner I have ever had,I agreed.So,I will be keeping her till we both get tired." He shrugged.

"Are you sure what Jacque want is something casual?,the first time I met her she was pinning after James.She wants a mate not a fuck buddy." She stated.The first time she met the woman,Jacque had been trying to seduce James.And as time went on,Rose saw that the werewolf didn't relent.

"If she ever gives me the impression of wanting more then I'll let her go immediately .I don't want anything serious and everyone know." Chris scoffed.

"Jacque was always pining for James,so why move on to you all of a sudden after all these years?."

"James wasn't in any way interested in her.But he had never spelt it out for her and he did when Jacque involved the Alpha's son." Rose gasped.

"Why who- ."

"Enough about Jacque Rose.I'm getting bored." Chris interrupted her.

"Okay then.So,why are you here in the first place?".She played with her sword.

"Can't I come and visit my best friend anymore?.Am I not welcome here?." Chris pouted and Rose rolled her eyes.

"You know you are just being ridiculous.We both know it been a while you come here in the evenings.You are always busy with the ladies at this time of the day ."Rose shrugged.
