Chapter 2 - 'Sun and Moon'

A few months later, shortly after the kids left the daycare for the night, Eclipse was called down to Parts and Services again, this time for the reveal of his sons.

When he got there, he was blindfolded by an engineer and lead to a room where his sons were laying, ready to be powered on.

As the engineer was leading Eclipse to that room, two other engineers were preparing to turn said sons on, painting a special marking on their wrist, underneath the ribbon around said wrist.

This special marking bore the likeness of the sun and the moon combined, giving it the name "The Mark of Eclipse". Any celestial animatronic that had this marking painted on their wrists in future generations would have the implication that they were the descendant of Eclipse just by that mark alone.

When Eclipse finally got into the room, they powered his sons on, and the engineer that lead him into the room removed the blindfold from his face.

"And here are your sons, Mr. Eclipse, sir!" said one of the engineers standing by the table that this new animatronic was sitting on.

He appeared to stand at around 5 feet tall, and his eyes were pure white like Eclipse's right eye. He bore the likeness of the sun, meaning he didn't have the sleeping cap or the dark side on his face. Instead of a jester-type outfit like Eclipse, this new animatronic wore an outfit that you could say translated to a child's sailor blouse with cambric, knee-low shorts with long white stockings and shin-high boots.

The little animatronic looked around, confused at his new surroundings, while everyone else in the room was cheering... except for one person, and that was Eclipse.

"...Two," he said, with a slight hint of disappointment in his voice.

"What was that?" asked an engineer, hearing the tone in Eclipse's voice.

"You and the other engineers said two! Why am I only seeing one?" asked Eclipse, under the impression that he may have been lied to.

The engineer that asked him what he said now saw what the matter was. "Oh, the two kids share the same body! Watch this. Sir?" said the engineer, hinting to another engineer to turn the lights off.

The engineer that was near the light switch nodded, and then turned the lights off.

Suddenly the child animatronic that Eclipse saw changed. He remained the same height and wore the same clothes, only now he bore the likeness of the moon and his clothes changed to more colder colors. The rays around his face disappeared and his eyes changed from pure white to blue, like Eclipse's left eye. In place of the aforementioned rays, there was a sleeping cap identical to Eclipse's atop the animatronic's head.

When that same engineer turned the lights back on thus turning the moon animatronic back into the sun animatronic, Eclipse felt so overjoyed that he almost cried even though he couldn't do that. "What are their names...?" he asked, his voice nearly breaking from all the joy he was feeling at that moment.

One of the engineers that was trying to get the new sons of Eclipse to stand up said three simple words.

"Sun and Moon."
