from the day she was born, juliet has always smiled. a natural-born performer, some would say, she's always managed to stay positive even when getting yelled at, berated or abused. not that it happened often, but some employers just felt that entitled to do so. she's quite optimistic in life, always dreaming of the future, keeping her chin up when things were tough, and having a sort of happy-infectious energy all the time. she's surprisingly a hard worker, especially when it comes to looking after the people she loves. as quite an emotive person, she relates to others well, and is always the one to cry during a movie. she's not a fighter, and in the face of danger, she'll most likely run away. one of her other weaknesses happens to be her loyalty, which she gives to people quite easily, being a very gullible person. in love, juliet is one to put everything into it, and comes out hurt in the end. you'd think she would have learnt from the past to not trust too easily, but she still does.
illean-citizen-files/juliet. 005 background. her life wasn't all fairies and rainbows from the moment she was born, in fact, it was more of the opposite. when her mother, 8 months pregnant, when back to her home country of France without a word to her father, things were never bound to turn out perfect. she lived her first five years of life oblivious to the fact that she even had a father, and the way her mum avoided the topic always made juliet assume he had been a bad person. however, a year later, at the tender age of six, and her mum had been admitted to rehab for addiction to alcohol, there was a knock at their door, and soon, juliet was off to the country of Ilea. It turned out her father had never done anything wrong- her mother had always been paranoid, crazy, even, and had taken off without any notice when she thought he was cheating on her (juliet's father hadn't been, he had merely came home late to buy his wife some flowers). juliet fully understood this when she was older, when her mothers family let juliet visit the women, and she realised just how deranged she was. her father was not a rich man, so they lived, just the two of them, humbly yet not starving. her passion for music was one of the biggest things she shared with the one who raised her, and she was able to learn piano due to the church who's priest was kind enough to let her use the piano there, in return for playing for sessions and coming regularly to church. her first violin was crafted by their neighbours, who had accidentally made a chip near the f-hole, which made it impossible to sell, but still possible to play. she spent most of her youth following her father around as he went around and played piano and sung for his employers, until the very day, a letter landed on their humble doorstep.
