BASIC IDENTITY .

FULL NAME.
marvin. Of welsh origin, meaning sea-friend. as the first one to come out of the womb, he got his parents first pick of a name. unfortunately, he hates being called marvin, so usually people use one of his many nicknames.
richard. means strong in rule (whatever that means), and comes from the old proto-Germanic words, rik and hardu. someone was probably drunk and said the words slurred together, and voila! the name Richard was born (note. I am not a history buff)
kenneth. marvin likes the meaning of this name a lot- good looking. the other one is fire born, but since he's afraid of fires, he likes to ignore that meaning. Is it a nod to the future with 'kenough' being a thing? probably not, since the barbie doll hadn't been invented. unless.... time travel?!
reina. Italian for queen, from the Sicilian variant of regina, whatever that means. he carries this last name with nor pride or embarrassment- his family is just family, and the family name is just the family name.

NICKNAMES.
marnie. shortened from Marvin, it's one of his most commonly used nicknames. no one knows where it came from, but it's stuck ever since.
vin. as common as the one before, most people call him vin or Marnie. The only difference that could be pointed out is Marnie is more used by adults, and vin more by his peers.
martian. Aliens, who aren't fascinated by them? marvin has a bit of a nerd side he rarely shows to anyone, but regardless, a few of his close ones call him 'martian' to commemorate his not so secret obsession with outer space. i mean, what's even out there?
