A lifetime

1.An Encounter

Being alone for long periods of time is something LeeKnow became used to live with and not be upset about.. The fact that he actually enjoys it, is what makes him weird to everyone else. He doesn't seek out friends or those he considers family to spend time with him and sometimes even when he is invited to an event, he simply declines and rather spend his time alone in his apartment with his books.

For a vampire that's a weird way of living, he's doomed to live for eternity so a little company will help pass time, but he doesn't.. he doesn't like it actually.. their ways.. their hunts.. their superiority complex.. he doesn't like it so he keeps away.

But sometimes he is forced to attend these events so he won't lose his place in the coven, despite everything he still needs their connections and protection to live his somewhat normal life.
That's why he found himself getting ready to attend an annual event that he usually ignores but since he mistakenly skipped the previous event now he's forced to attend this one.. and this one is his most hated one..

Ever since vampires made themselves known to the humans in hopes of normalizing their lives, things started taking a different turn, an unexpected turn..
Vampires now mainly rule the world, humans simply got scared of them and let the vampire have their ways.. now after thousands of years of this new world, Vampires now don't hunt or attack humans, cause humans donate their blood to them willingly or not doesn't really matter. But still some extreme activities do happen, cause after all vampire still needs to hunt. And this annual event is exactly what will be happening. A hunt for misfortunate people who's unlucky to be out that night. And what makes this night unexpected and exciting is that the event changes every year, not having a scheduled date makes the people unaware and that makes the hunt more fun.

LeeKnow hated this night, why kill when you simply can have all the blood you need from the blood banks, yea not fresh but still tasty. He was caught up in his thoughts when the car stopped and he was guided into the mansion where all the royal and upper class vampires gather having fun and enjoying the night till midnight that's when the hunt begins.
Being a loner doesn't mean he was hated, LeeKnow was loved by a lot despite his sour personality and attitude, so once stepping inside everyone came to greet him and start conversations with no ends.

A simple human.. that what he is, No purpose in life that will make him different from the life stock the vampires take them for. Hyunjin knew that and he also knew that he can be different, he can stand out from the rest of the herd, and he knows tonight is his night to do that.
Hyunjin stood before the mirror fixing up his clothes, it was too revealing to be called clothes.. an oversized white sheer shirt with a very low v-neck that's tucked in a skin tight black pants but being black makes it not too revealing unless someone takes his time staring and Hyunjin knows everyone will do that. He wasn't shy or embarrassed but the fact that he will be performing in front of excited hungry vampires do scares him. He now knows what tonight is and he wanted so badly to warn his family and friends but they took away his phone once he stepped into the car that picked him up.. it's scary now knowing, how can he dance knowing that at midnight all those vampires will run wild hunting for any humans. Hyunjin took a deep breath and fixed his hair and waited to be called out to perform.. but there was something else nagging in his head.. is he a prey too.. after his performance what will happen to him.. will he be left to go home safe or will they start their hunts with him. He came here knowing it's just a royal party, a friend recommended him telling him if he managed to awestruck the vampires he will become an elite performer and maybe he will be something more if he's lucky, Hyunjin knows what that means that maybe a vampire will take him as a doll, vampires do that, and the dolls are spoiled and lavished in all the best ways, but Hyunjin didn't wanted that, he didn't wanted to branded as a doll, he loved his freedom, his dance, his family, his friends.. all of this will be lost if he became a doll to a creepy vampire.. so all he could do is dance his best and prove that his dancing is more worthy than his beauty.
Taking another deep breath Hyunjin sat down thinking that if he has to end up with a creepy old vampire than being a part of the hunt.. is somehow considered lucky.
