6. Cursed

Hyunjin never expected to live a normal life with a vampire, but here he was sharing a house with one, spending the nights cooking and watching tv, teasing and annoying each other till the sun rise and then both go to sleep and wake up at night.. How was that normal and peaceful, Hyunjin didn't know, but he enjoyed it and wanted it to last longer..

Two weeks passed with them both getting more closer and becoming more comfortable around each other.

Leeknow learned that Hyunjin isn't just a brat but also a spoiled princess and whiny, it annoyed Leeknow to have that attitude around him but he never complained cause he simply knew how to tame this princess aka Hyunjin. Hyunjin would whine and storm into his room and minutes later he would come back to leeknow to annoy him once more..

Hyunjin learned that Leeknow is actually very kind and soft hearted, The vampire would act not caring and cold but his eyes always gave him away with their kindness and sometimes a glance of sadness that always made Hyunjin worry. Leeknow would tease Hyunjin and act not caring when Hyunjin storm out, but he can see the relief in his eyes when Hyunjin walks out of the room again.

Hyunjin never mentioned his family again and Leeknow avoided that topic although he wanted to know about the earring more, he needed to know.. but it would make Hyunjin upset so he never asked and knew he will find out soon enough.

"Leeknooooow~.."
Hyunjin shouted standing in the kitchen and Leeknow came and saw how disgusted Hyunjin looked.
"What?"
Hyunjin still looked disgusted and pointed at the fridge "Open it" he crossed his arms as he watched Leeknow open it and look inside
"What exactly am I looking at"
"All this... blood.. it's not supposed to be there.."
LeeKnow closed the fridge and turned slowly to Hyunjin "it's supposed to be there.. where else would I keep it?"
"I don't know.. it ruined my appetite just seeing it, now move it away.."

Leeknow sighed and walked over to Hyunjin moving him to sit on the kitchen island "You know this is my fridge and my food in there so..." he waited for Hyunjin to finish his sentence but the boy was just staring back disgusted still..
"Seriously... you were just sitting with me while I'm drinking it.. what's the difference."
"I imagine it's cranberry juice"
Leeknow laughed and so did Hyunjin shyly..
"I'll make you food so sit here and be a pretty doll." Leeknow smirked seeing how Hyunjin is rolling his eyes with a faint smile.
It became a common joke between the two and Hyunjin no longer felt anger hearing it from Leeknow, simply because the boy knows now that Leeknow doesn't want that from him.

It still confuses him why Leeknow is keeping him when he doesn't want anything from him, not even to feed on .. Hyunjin didn't dwell on it and yet kept his feelings on check knowing that the vampire intentions will come clear sooner or later.

Leeknow started fixing dinner for the boy humming softly as he did, he liked that, cooking and the domestic life that he missed since he turned. Yet Leeknow felt selfish.. Was it fair to keep the boy for himself to just feel normal, was it just the normalcy of life is the reason or there's this feeling he gets whenever he looked at Hyunjin's face.. that face that haunted him since the moment he saw it.

"What is the name of this song... you hum it a lot?"
Hyunjin asked as he watched Leeknow cooking.
"...I don't remember it's name.. it's just stuck in my head."
"You lying"
Leeknow looked at Hyunjin forcing a frown on his face "Oh am I?"
Hyunjin nodded "Yes... I don't know how but I can tell you lying... that pause you took and how you always hum it when..."
"When what genius?"
Hyunjin looked down and clearly a blush crept into his face.
"When around me... I never heard you do it when you alone."
LeeKnow said nothing just kept looking at the boy.. was he wrong.. no.. he was right, Leeknow didn't know he was doing it though.

Hyunjin looked back at Leeknow and couldn't tell what the other was thinking, it made him blush more..
"Maybe I thought wrong.. I.."
Hyunjin was cut off by Leeknow's phone, it took a moment for leeknow to move and answer it, Hyunjin didn't eavesdrop and waited for a minute and moved to the living room where Leeknow was standing..
