The greenery just folded away, the solid brown and plant covered ground gave way to soft but solid dirt. A large semi circle formed by rocks jutted up and out of the ground, looming over them making the perfect place for a shelter.
Toward the back a beautiful waterfall rushed over its edge and down to a small lake of blue. Sitting nearly at the middle of the lake was a small island of rocks with trees decorating it.
"Whoa..." Calums words were barely noticeable for everyone was too astounded by the sight before them.
"Must have been a sink hole at one point.. You guys agree this is the place we will take shelter for a bit?" Ashton asked as he walked further in, Glancing up at the rocks upbove his head. He threw down his duffle bag and placed his hands on his hips , he most definitely approved of this place.
"Oh baby! Come to me my precious!" Calum was moving toward the lake, peeling off his shoes, shirt, and soon even his pants. He couldn't wait to feel the cool water touch his over heated body.
The minute Calum walked in a moan escaped from his lips. He dove under and surfaced closer to the tiny island, spitting out water with a large smile.
"It feels so good! Tastes wonderfully too!" He leaned back, closed his eyes, and floated in the water letting out a sigh of relaxation.
Luke smiled but stepped closer to Ashton, he latched his hand into Ashtons bicep and clung to him. He didn't care they were both hot, sticky, and stinky, he just wanted to be near him.
Michael was excitedly undressing and joining calum. He ran into the water with flailing arms and legs,
"Hell yes!!"
"Well. While you two children play, someone needs to gather wood for a fire. Maybe find some food?" Ashton looked from the two splashing each other in the water to the timid Luke.
He smiled and gently patted Lukes shoulder. "Want to join me? Would be easier and quicker. Don't want the sun setting on us before we are situated."
Lukes smile grew larger at Ashtons touch, he nodded. When Ashton started to walk back toward where they came from Luke let go, he didn't want to release Ashton but he also didn't want to hold him back.
He happily followed Ashton, also gathering any stick or branch he thought looked dry as he walked.
"Luke I know this may be scary.." Ashton spoke as he gathered wood, he would randomly pause and look around hoping one of the trees held fruit.
"But you have us. We will stay strong together. Okay? Don't worry buddy. I'll make sure nothing happens to you."
He turned to smile at Luke only to notice that Luke wasn't even looking at him. His smile faded and glanced toward were Luke was staring.
"Luke?"
Luke could have sworn he saw a flash of grey fur behind some green. May have been his imagination but he would have bet his life on it.
"Luke? Earth to Luke." Ashton snapped his fingers infront of Lukes face, catching his attention.
"Oh. Sorry. Thought I saw something.."
Ashton shrugged and brushed past Luke, arms full of wood. He was busy looking up at the tree tops still hoping for food.
"Never mind. Do you think Calum kept his pocket knife? Would be handy. .. Nope, nothing. No fruit. Come on let's get back and start a fire."
When Ashton and Luke returned to what they deemed as their shelter, they saw Michael and Calum laying out on blankets they took from the ship. Both boys still only in their boxers.
"Did anything get wet?" Ashton asked while he dropped his sticks into a pile, signaling Luke to place his bunch of wood on top.
"Nope. It was a good idea to Baggie half the stuff then to wrap the rest in glade wrap." Calum replied sitting up.
"Good. So the lighter will work. I want to save the matches till we have no choice but to use them." Ashton was putting a ring of rocks around his fire pit.
Luke stood by watching the water fall. He couldn't get over how beautiful it was there, he wanted to appreciate it while he still could.
