corner and disappear. I roll my eyes and walk to the left. I start heading towards the bakery, to get food on the way back home. I walk into the bakery door, and a bell ontop of the door rings. The jolly baker, named Philly, turns around and looks at me. He smiles widely, and waves.
"Hello deary! Whad y' need today?" He asks loudly. He's half deaf so it makes sense why he's loud as a siren. He has a strong irish accent and he has a big bushy beard. I smile widely at him and walk toward the counter.
"Just a loaf today, please." I lean my elbows on the counter and point toward a white loaf. He nods and gets some paper, he wraps the loaf in brown paper and hands it to me. I give him some gold, and he nods at me in approval.
"Here, take this." He turns around, and comes back holding a strawberry pastry. I shake my head and smile.
"You really don't have to, sir." I say, shaking my hands in front of me. He pushes the pastry
toward me.
"Please, take it. You keep our town safe from those.. demons." He frowns for a bit, before smiling again. Philly lost his youngest son to a vampire, the body was never found. He doesn't know this, but I have a feeling his son is a vampire, and I killed him. I sigh and take the pastry. Philly nods at me, and I smile. I wave before walking out of the bakery and along a dusty gravel path. The sun has finally taken its spot in the sky. It's so bright today, it burns my eyes.
I suppose this is how vampires feel when they go into the sunlight. Suddenly I feel a large thing hit my back and I topple over face down onto the ground. I hear giggling from behind me. My face is covered in thick red blood. My nose is broken. I get flipped over onto my back. Oh. It's Julliette, my girlfriend. I smile slightly at her, before frowning and standing up. She hugs me tightly, I can hardly breath. She doesn't care that she's just broken my nose. She pulls away from me and holds onto my shoulders tightly. She kisses my blood stained lips and I pull away immediately.
"Ugh, I'm covered in blood Juliette, not now." I'd say, rolling my eyes. In reality I just don't want to kiss her. She looks frustrated. She licks the blood off her lips before hugging me again.
"Please, Sylvia?" She looks into my eyes. "Please let me kiss you, I've missed you dearly." Her eyes are so mesmerizing. I can't stop myself, before I know I'm kissing her. She pulls away and winks at me. I shake my head. Why did I do that? I wipe the blood from my broken nose and I look away.
"I need to go give this loaf to my family." Before she can say anything, I quickly walk away. I sense her gaze on me as I start speed walking. I need to get away from that crazy bitch. I want to break up with her, but she keeps me here, somehow. It's like she's got me in a trance. She's definitely some sort of evil. I enter the small town house and I'm greeted by two small children, my siblings. I pick synthia up and spin her around. She
