already dead animals. I see Gabriel sitting on the couch, watching tv. I sit down next to him. He looks at me and then immediately side-eyes me. I roll my eyes.
"Why are YOU upset at me now?" I say, as I cross my arms and stare at the tv. Gabes watching some sort of horror flick.
"Same reason mum's mad at you." He elbows me. "Why'd you run?"
"I didn't really get much of a choice since one, I got shot, and two, the sun was coming up." I answer, hesitantly. He looks me up and down.
"Doesn't look like anythings wrong with you." I lift up my shirt, and show him the wooden stake poking out of my flesh. He stares and narrows his eyes. He pokes the stake slightly and I wince.
"Must hurt, hey?" He says, in a smug voice. I nod. He then quickly grabs onto the wooden stake and he rips it out. I yell in pain and I hold my wound.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" I yell at him, before immediately standing up and staring at him with hate. He shrugs.
"For fun, I suppose." He smiles before going back to watching the tv. I groan as I bleed out onto the floor. Mum's going to murder me for sure if she sees this much of my blood on the floor. Of course Gabe won't get in trouble at all, since he's the 'golden child' as he says. I run to the bathroom and I start stuffing the gaping hole in my flesh with toilet paper. The toilet paper turns red immediately and falls out. I grit my teeth and grunt. I run to the fridge to see if mum has any leftover blood bags. I see a full one, and decide to take a small sip out of it. I end up drinking half of the bag before putting it back. At Least my wound is healed properly. Mum's definitely going to stake me. I turn my head when I hear heavy footsteps and the sound of keys turning. I stare at the door as it slowly creaks open. I see my dads red eyes and I become less tense. I smile at him and he opens his arms to embrace me. I walk toward him and hug him tightly.
"Hey mate, I heard about what happened today." He says, with his heavy voice. I look down at the floor.
"Yes I-"
"Don't even worry about it." He comforts me, "You were just surviving. It's what we vampires do, son." I smile at him warmly. My dad is the only reason I'm still alive, since he rules over the vampires down here. Mum cant kill me that way. My dad walks over to the fridge and opens it, he puts multiple blood bags in there. I sigh in relief. Mum wont kill me afterall. I check the time. Almost 6pm. It should be okay to go out now. Dad shoos me off and I chuckle. I walk out the door and the large cave feels even more busy than normal. Many people are running to get their blood fix. I dont need blood, I just need to see that girl again. I need to kill her. I quickly go up to the surface and start searching throughout the forrest to find her. I see a girl out of the corner of my eye and I stop and hide behind a tree. Its the girl.
