Challenges and prompts

For this contest, we don't have any specific prompt but two challenges. Participants can choose any challenge they want. We will also give some quotes in October and November. You can draw inspiration from it and create your story/poem following the same. Note, it will only be for reference. You don't need to use it directly in your story. You can choose any genre, any tense, or any style of narration, and be as creative as you want.

Challenge 1: It starts and ends with the same phrase, but it has a different meaning.

Meaning, the first sentence of the story and the last sentence will be the same but have different meanings.

Challenge 2: It ends, but it doesn't OR mystery remains mystery.

For this challenge, as the statement says, you need to write a story that feels like everything is okay and clear, but if thought deeply, nothing is clear.

Prompt 1:
"October was always the least dependable of months... full of ghosts and shadows."

Prompt 2:
"A boy who loved Autumn. A girl who was forever October."

Prompt 3:
"October is a symphony of permanence and change."

Prompt 4:
"As the leaves fall, we are reminded to let go of what no longer serves us."

Prompt 5:
"In November, the earth exhales its final breath, preparing for the winter slumber."
