A/N:Hi guys, I know it's been over a year and I'm sorry I just got so caught up with life and kind of pushed this aside, but I'm hoping to be back! I don't think I'll be able to have a 100% consistent posting schedule, but I will try to keep up with it. For now, that's all I have to say. Thank you for reading and I'm sorry for the delay.
"Okay Charlotte, let me tell you everything you need to know about Eastwood High."
He turned around and walked towards the hallway full of lockers before I could even see the smirk I could hear in his voice.
"So what do you wanna know about the school? I just know they told me to give you a background and to tell you everything about the programs & sports we have to offer but that seems like it could get boring quickly." he explains as he stops by some of the newer looking lockers.
"Just a general idea of what I'm getting myself into & what the programs and sports are like here." I say walking towards the locker he's standing at.
"Okay fair, but first I have to 'show you' how to open your locker." He says in a mimicking tone. "You know? Like give you the code and make sure you can actually open the locker yourself?" He says handing me a tiny piece of paper with 4 numbers sloppily written down.
"Right." I tell him. Grabbing the paper from his hold I turn to face the lockers and check the paper to know what number my locker is before trying to open any of them.
23 written and underlined 2 times in the corner of the paper he handed me. I'm gonna go ahead and assume that's the number of the locker I was assigned.
What a coincidence.
The combination is 3, 26, 13.
It's been forever since I even used one of these. Hopefully I don't mess up and need his help, that'd be embarrassing.
3 turns clockwise to clear it and stop it at 0, one full turn and stop at 3, turn the dial to the 26, then back to 13 and it should open.
But of course I'm so lucky today and it doesn't. Not even with me tugging on it. I know he's facing the other way but I feel like he's judging me.
"Hey um, I think it's stuck." I say leaning against the locker next to mine.
"Oh yeah I should've told you that, these locks tend to get stuck sometimes, they're old and rusty." he says giving the lock a tug before pulling in the combination again.
When that didn't work he resorted to trying to pull with all his strength basically trusting his whole body weight on the lock.
"There it goes!" He says stumbling back as he finally managed to get it open & unhooked.
"Thank you? and Sorry?" I say fighting the urge to laugh as I watch him regain his balance.
"Yeah don't mention it, just uh ask one of the maintenance people that your lock is difficult to open they'll usually oil it or something." He says rubbing his hand that I'm assuming got scraped by the lockers.
"I'll just lock it again and then we can keep going." I say as I turn to fade my locker and give him a second to compose himself.
"Okay, so you said you just wanted a general idea right?" He asks as I turn back around to start following behind him.
"Yeah general idea of what I got myself into and what sports/ extra curricular activities are like here." I reply.
"Got it, follow me." He says turning the corner of the hallway into an even longer hallway.
