Today was a whirlwind of back-to-back meetings for me. I didn't even have a moment to catch my breath. Miraculously, I managed to wrap up all the cases by 5 o'clock. However, my day was far from over as that useless function was scheduled for 7. But before I could even think about that, I had to make sure Dhruv and his family were safe and sound. Even though he's not in India and I haven't told him about the marriage, I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to them. I have no idea how he'll react, but that's not my concern right now.

I dialed up Jonnah, my go-to guy for this kind of job, and requested him to beef up Dhruv's security. Curiosity sparked in his voice, but he didn't dare to challenge me. I shot a quick text to my brother, letting him know that I'd be running late since there was no chance I could make it by 7.

I arrived home at 6:30, pondering the reasons behind my current situation. Why is it always me who has to make sacrifices? Now I have to marry a rich brat- if only she knew what she was getting into.

She longed to escape, but the thought of losing another cherished friend held her back. Her eyes clouded with sorrowful recollections, yet she forcefully pushed them aside, knowing that now was not the moment nor the circumstance to dwell on such memories.

She stumbled upon a stunning black lehenga, its weighty fabric exuding elegance. Paired with a strapless blouse, it accentuated her gracefully sculpted collarbone, making it an impeccable choice for the event.
