Han POV:

I looked at Su-Ah. Shocked. How dare she stand up to me?! But instead of yelling at her, I sighed, trying to calm myself down. I smacked her hands off my collar. My hand landed on her right cheek, leaving a nasty red imprint.

I saw her wince as my hand trembled, in the air, with anger. Her fists were clenched, and she looked at the ground.

"How- how dare you raise your hand on me?" Her voice trembled.

"You deserved it," I snapped back, glaring down at her, bringing my hand down beside me.

"Says the pr!ck," Su-Ah cursed, which only angered me even more.

My hand found its way to her left cheek, leaving 2 red imprints on both cheeks. She stared at me, expressionless, her eyes big, glossy, and red.

Su-Ah POV:

I stared at Han. How could he slap me again?! Both my cheeks stung with pain, and I tried to ignore the burning sensation, but it's not as easy.

I was rendered speechless. I didn't know what to say. My jaw was slightly open, but I closed it after realising that it was open.

Author POV:

Han pushed Su-Ah back down to the floor.

"I'm letting this slide. For now. Don't repeat this mistake again, understood?"

She nodded, not knowing what else to do.

"Words, pet, words."

"Y-yes." Her voice cracked and she grimaced.

"Good. Now, like I said before, I don't want to hear a peep out of you. Got it?"

Su-Ah nodded, but stopped halfway, realising to use words.

"Yes..."

It came out in a weak whisper.

Han simply nodded, turned off the lights, went out of his room, shutting the door, and locking it from the outside.

Su-Ah POV:

I was left in darkness for God knows how long. Multiple times I had to fight the urge to get up and pace the room, to force the door open, hell even jump out of the window and d!e. But I didn't dare. I didn't have the courage to.

Tears streamed down my pale cheeks as I tried not to make a sound. A small whimper came out and I grimaced, terrified if Han had heard or not. I could only pray that he hadn't.

There was an eerie silence, as I tried to convince myself that he hadn't heard anything. But again, his room was so silent, it was hard to confirm it.

A couple minutes later, after I calmed myself down, I heard footsteps outside. They were heavy, thick, and slow. They didn't sound like Han's, so... who did it belong to?

My breathing became heavier, and I heard the footsteps coming closer to the door.

A million thoughts raced through my head.

"Who is it?"

"Are they gonna come inside the room?"

"Did Han hear me?"

"Is that thing even human?"

"Did I do something wrong?"

All these thoughts worried me as I bit my nail. I looked around the room, to look for something to use for defence, but I was too terrified to even get up, let alone look around the room.

The footsteps stopped right outside the door and my heart stopped. Everything was silent again. The handle of the door turned downwards, and the door creaked as it slid open, only a slither.

It was dark.

Just darkness.

I couldn't see anything from the door.

I thought my eyes were playing a joke on me and I rubbed them, but when I opened them again, it was the same. I started to freak out and my breathing got faster. I could feel the blood rushing through my body.

The door flew open and I shut my eyes.

"Pet, it's me."

I opened my eyes and the lights were on. I looked up and saw Han standing there, completely unamused; expressionless.

"It's 6 AM, so I thought you might want to get ready for college."

My brain started to re-function as I realised that it was a Monday. I didn't have many classes, only a meeting, a short lecture, and just to check out the library.

Author POV:

Han walked closer to Su-Ah and narrowed his eyes.

"Are you not gonna get ready?" He asked in a cold tone.

She flinched and nodded rapidly.

"Y-yeah, I w-will," she replied. She got up but her legs were too weak. She fell onto Han's chest, as she held onto his arm for support.

He sighed, exasperated. As they were still standing, Han picked Su-Ah up, in bridal, and carried her out of his room. She was carried to her room and Han threw her onto her bed.

"Th-thanks," she thanked, and Han scoffed.

"So, you do have manners, huh?"

She looked down at her fidgeting fingers but didn't say anything.

After a while of awkward silence, Su-Ah finally built up the courage to speak.

"D-do you have c-classes today?" She asked, politely.

"No."

Han walked out, closing her room door.
