Hello, small little book.

I can barely resist taking a look.

You're sometimes several inches thick, sometimes thin and small,

It doesn't matter, because I love you all!

Often I put you by my side,

But hey, I always want to peek inside.

Whoosh! Characters and worlds cascade like water from the pages.

You're so addictive that I could read you for centuries and ages!

Oh, dear book, you come to life,

There's a world within, and you sent me an invite!

To me, you're my companion, my everything,

I wouldn't trade you for anything!
