Sunlight glittered off of the snow lining my window. I changed into presentable clothes and combed my hair out. Two presents waited for me at my bedside. I grabbed them both along with the gifts I had gotten for the boys before heading to their dormitories. A smile decorated my lips as I knocked on the door leading to the twins' room. George tossed the door open and pulled me into his arms. The presents I brought tumbled onto the floor as George spun me around to look at Fred.

"Merry Christmas!" The twins chimed together.

I laughed lightly, "Merry Christmas. Now put me down before I stop breathing."

George loosened his tight grip so I could hop down. Fred looked through the presents on the ground until he found the two addressed for his brother and him. I took my own gifts from each of the twins and began to tear away the wrapping paper. The twins instantly tore into their boxes of Dungbombs, Sugar Quills, Cauldron Cakes, Chocolate Frogs, and Bernie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. George's box to me consisted of a set of Exploding Snap and Self-Shuffling Cards. Fred's box was smaller and rattled softly when I shook it.

"What is it?" I looked up at Fred.

"Something that you are going to take way more serious than it really is." Fred said between bites of his candy.

I rolled my eyes, "When do I take anything you do serious?"

"Just open it."

I picked at the corners of the box before I could get the paper to tear. Fred's eyes looked up from his box of goods to watch me open his gift to me. Unlike his brother, George continued to dig into what I had gotten him without a mind to anyone else. A red, velvet box showed through the wrapping paper. I flicked my eyes up at Fred briefly before continuing to open the package. The small box clicked when I pushed it open. A shining locket hung on a new silver chain in the middle of the box. A glittering rose quartz was molded on top of the locket.

"Fred-" I started.

"Open it." He laughed.

The button on the side required for me to twist it and press down the button before it opened. A picture of our small group (the twins, Lee Jordan, Alison, and I) smiled up at me and played around. I hurried over to Fred and threw my arms around his shoulders. He chuckled softly in my ear, hugging me back. There must have been months of saving for him to be able to buy this.

"You didn't have to do this." I said.

"I know."

"So why did you do it?"

"To remind you that you still have a family."

I looked over at him. "What do you mean?"

His voice lowered so George couldn't eavesdrop over the sound of crumbling candy wrappers. "I see the way you look at everyone. When Harry started coming here you've started acting differently. I didn't want you to think that you were alone."

I pecked my lips to his cheek. "I should have gotten you more."

"My birthday is in a few months."

"Em, did you get a sweater from mum?" George nodded to a lumpy package.

I picked up the gift and quickly unwrapped the piece of clothing. A burgundy sweater waited for me inside with a golden E stitched into the middle of the sweater. The boys tossed on their blue sweaters with the wrong initials. I tugged my sweater over my shirt and tossed my curly hair around my shoulders. My new locket felt smooth between my fingers.

"Let's go see if our Ron figured out how to open his Christmas presents." George said.

"I'll bet you a sickle that he already has a cut trying to open them." Fred said.
