Adeline's eyes widen, as she stares at John. She didn't expect John doe, the famous author to look like... That. Of course, she didn't say that, but she still thought so.
John smiles at her. "Why don't you come inside?" He asks.
Adaline replies "O-oh! Sorry, I forgot."
She goes inside. Just like the outside, the inside of the house looks like it was something from multiple centuries ago.
"It must be a family home" adaline thought to herself.
"Oh! I didn't expect her to be here so soon!" A woman says, carrying a very young child downstairs.
She has short brown hair and green eyes, and is wearing a black dress. The baby looks exactly like John. White hair and pale skin. The toddler has two different colored eyes, one green, one black.
The woman smiles at Adaline "Hello dear, I'm Eleanor, your new mother. And this bundle of joy is Jeff." She looks at the baby.
"I'm Adaline." Adaline replies.
"What a lovely name! Adaline Doe, how beautiful." Eleanor says, smiling.
"Jack! Jill! Come down here and meet your new sister!" John says loudly.
"Coming, Father!" A boy says. For some reason, hes the only one in the family with a British accent.
Two children come down the stairs. One boy, one girl. They both have White hair and pale skin, just like John. The boy has red eyes, and the girl has blue.
"Hello , I'm Jack!" The boy says.
The girl says "You're.. Adaline.. correct?"
Jack replies "Adaline? What a pretty name!"
The girl says "I'm Jill."
The boy is smiling very widely, while the girl's facial expression is completely blank.
Adaline thinks to herself "Jack and Jill? Like that old poem?"
Adaline stands there silently, thinking of something to say.
Eleanor breaks the silence "Oh! I should show you your room, it's getting late after all. Follow me"
Adaline follows Eleanor upstairs. Eleanor walks to a room, and opens the door.
"This is your room." It's a simple, plain room. The only thing noticeable other than the bed is the bookshelf.
Adaline smiles "Thank you, Eleanor."
"Oh, you can call me mom from now on." Eleanor smiles "Welcome home, Adaline."
