Adaline and Jack eat their pancakes at the table, and Jack stops for a second
"I just realized Jill wasn't carrying Jalala."
Adaline looks at Jack, confused. "Who's Jalala..?" She asks.
Jack responds "Jill's teddy bear."
Adaline becomes even more confused "She still has a teddy bear? How old are you two again?" She asks.
Jack replies "12. We're both 12."
"Our mother gave her Jalala when we where 6, and Jill takes Jalala everywhere, even when asked not to." He adds.
Adaline nods, understanding why. "I guess I'm just surprised, because she seems serious and mature. I wouldn't have guessed that she carried a teddy bear everywhere."
Adaline says.
Jack shrugs "It's not hurting anyone, so why does it matter?"
Before Adaline can say anything, the door opens. Eleanor walks in.
She looks at Adaline and Jack, and says "Good morning." She smiles at them.
"Good morning El-mom." Adaline says
"Good morning mom!" Jack says.
Eleanor walks over to the coffee maker. "How are you both doing?" She asks.
"We're fine." Adaline says.
"That's good." Eleanor replies. She starts the coffee maker, and sits down.
"Wheres Jill?" Adaline asks
"In her room." Eleanor replies. "So, since while you're settling in, whats something that would make this place feel more like your old life?" Eleanor asks.
Adaline thinks for a minute, not sure how to answer that question. "Maybe.. you could send me to school? I value academics quite a bit." Adaline replies.
Jack laughs "HA! I've been asking dad to send me and Jill to school for YEARS and he still hasn't done it!"
Eleanor smiles "I'll see what I can do." Eleanor goes back to the coffee maker, and pours two cups off coffee. She leaves the room holding both of the mugs
